Any guitar can do anything...there's no such thing as an electric guitar that "can't" do a certain style. If it feels good it is good!

I once had a Schecter Hellraiser which had quite a beefy neck. This definitely appeals to me! Enjoyed this video, thanks very much!

I just rewatched your vid here I too scored that Elite used but not really used about 2 months ago and as a full time repair tech I set her up to my specs with crazy low action and put 8s on it And it is the most Awesome guitar I've ever seen as for straight out of the box specs I mod every guitar that moves into my collection with the exception of this baby Although I did put abalone chrome dome knobs and a set of blingy strap locks along with replacing the back cover plate with carbon fiber plates I am going to put a Killswitch on it as well It's flat out the best guitar as for specs I can think of and it the most fun to play guitar in my collection! I would also like to mention that I recently tried similar picks if not the same ones you're showing here in which loved immediately Mine being the 3 mm Dunlop Big Stubby My playing sped up dramatically My practice habits are now on steroids Thanks for doing this awesome video! Seems that we have a lot in common! Merry Christmas

Thanks! I am torn...with or without the sustainiac...HELP! I am an intermediate player into rock, metal, blues. What is the purpose of the sustaniac?

I’ve had it a while now, and for rock, I’ve found it useful. You can do some Slash or something and flip the switch. It makes it last forever! I’m now a fan of the sustainiac, and yes, it even works on clean.

Hey man, could you please tell me your thoughts on the Floyd rose 1500 series. I’m so a little on edge about it.

It holds tuning very well. Once it’s set up, I barely ever have to touch it. If you’ve never done the initial setup, it’s a pain. I bought this used and it was set up for D Standard. I brought it back to standard tuning, and it took me about an hour to change strings and adjust the springs.

I bought the hipshot one today. Wayyy simpler than messing with a Floyd because I like dropping my tunings often especially since this guitar is very good for lower tunings.

I have the same guitar without the Sustainiac... The FR SLS. On the neck pickup (Fishman Modern Ceramic) I can play clean jazz and driven blues on it just fine, and of course high gain distorted metal is a given. Plus depending on how I have the voicing set on it, it has like 8 voicings on it. I was going to go with the Sustainiac but I just dont like them. They're so niche.

I'm looking at getting a Schecter SLS Elite like this with Fishmans, would they say clarity is a Hallmark of these pickups (which is what I want)? They seem to have a real clarity to them even when overdriven.

“That’s a metal guitar.” Well ya see, a telecaster is a chicken pickin’ country music sound machine, until the likes of Tom Petty Jeff Beck Jeff Buckley Jimmy Page Keith Richards… Prince, etc., get their hands on it. I literally play rock metal country ambient and blues on my Schecter C-1 fr-s sls. This is a very versatile guitar.
