Very nicely done. Nice to see someone actually PLAYING a guitar nowadays tastefully, Really melodic and not just 10 million notes downtuned with a drum machine. Really really nicely done sir. THey have a used one of those at one of the GC's here. Seriously thinking of picking it up now :). I of course will blame YOU when my wife yells at me. You gonna have to take one for the team lol

Haha,cheers Robert! Thanks man! Yeah it's a seriously well built guitar,the best part is the 57/66 EMG set,nice and powerful but yet more subtle than the 81/85 set. Great neck,matt finish,surprisingly smooth & fast. A fantastic guitar all round,yep just blame me :)

Great playing and nice to hear the harmonics going on. I thought you were using a sustainiac intil i noticed that there is none. So is the bridge EMG so powerful that it is easy to get those singing harmonics like you demonstrate in the beginning of the video, or is thst feedback from the amp?

Could you help me with a question? I have decided on this guitar after much research, videos, etc. I can't find much help on the topic of if I should get the C-1 FR S or just the C-1 FR S in regard to the quality of the Sustainiac pick up compared to the EMG one it would be replacing at the neck. Am I downgrading in quality of neck pickup just so I can have the endless sustain feature? Would it be better for tone and quality to ignore that feature whether it was legit or a gimmick compared to the tone or quality of the EMG neck pickup it would be replacing?
@IRISHguitarist7773 жыл бұрын
Hi! A great Question,the simple answer l believe is to ask yourself,how much are you actually going to use this Sustainiac feature? Are you going to be like the Edge and have it as an integral part of your playing as he does with his E-bow? Or just occasionally? I found after much debate with myself that nope,l was'nt going to use it that much so instead l went for the gorgeous EMG 57/66 set and they are amazing pickups! Incidentally, l also do a full review of this guitar the week l bought it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnfJkHuVbdSqd6s you might some info in it helpful to you? Thanks for watching!

@@IRISHguitarist777 I planed on using the Sustainiac pick up in "harmonic" mode as my research says that emulates having your amp at higher volumes well in tone without requiring a huge live setup like at a show but just at home practicing. I went to some local music shops but none had anything with a Sustainiac pickup on it or even any Schecters. I went to a couple and several pawn shops. Couldn't find anything to try close to it. They didn't even have Ibanez or Jacksons.... I was also looking at the Ibanez Prestige line or the Nina one. Dinky's are alrright but I'd prefer the Hellraiser Hybrid or the Ibanez Prestige. I already watched the video you linked and it helped me decide on the Hellraiser Hybrid. I am still unsure though if I should get the C-1 FR or the C-1 FR S Hellraiser Hybrid. It's a tough call and not a lot of research out there to help one decide on what they are giving up or gaining by replacing the EMG neck pickup with a Sustainiac pickup. I wish I could find a side by side comparison of those neck pickups isolated on this guitar and evaluated/compared. I'll probably end up going with the C-1 FR S and just crossing my fingers I'm not giving up tone or quality for a gimmick and cheap replacement. I do love the idea of forcing the harmonics and overdrive at high volumes but without having to destroy my neighbors with sonic destruction or shatter my windows but still get that beautiful high volume metal sound. If you can think of anything else please let me know! I really enjoyed your videos on this guitar and you played great.

@@deathmwauthzyx3537 Thanks so much! Well l have recently bought the ESP E-II Viper with the "HETSET" pickups and My God,they are powerful,really excellent sustain,all the crunch of an EMG 81 without the harshness of that brutally powerful pickup. Tons of sustain too!! The Hybrid has the ultraviolet paintjob which is cool but not a deal breaker for me,i have a Schecter in blood red too and its also a fine guitar but its the emgs that are the star of the show,very sustainy,def worth looking into. Ibanez l think are not great guitars for the money,LTD are excellent. Thanks again for the nice comments!

Hey Daniel I was wondering if I could get your opinion on something..I'm getting ready to buy some new gear and I'm kinda torn between getting a Boss Katana 100 MKII 2×12 amp or a Marshall code 50 amp..I'm getting more into melodic heavy gain stuff but I also love to play 80's metal..do you know anything about these 2 amps or have you played thru any of them? What would be your honest opinion on them?.I know its ultimately up to the guitar player but I like to get opinions from my fellow guitarists like yourself..thanks
@IRISHguitarist7774 жыл бұрын
Hey Axl,l actually do know a lot about the Code 50 as l have one! I love it,its cheap and cheerful but has some lovely distortion and crunch sounds,#87,NWOBHM Setting and #94 MARSHALLFURY ( Malmsteen ) Setting. Its a great bedroom amp,small and you can stick it anywhere in the room,just so easy to use and you can even sit on it and practice. Its a great Amp for the money,tje Katana is a different Beast,much louder and probably better built,good sounds but l dont own one,just played thru a students one day but a good amp! Both are quite flimsy,Chinese made amps but the digital sample sounds are rocking! Two great amps. Have you considered ik multimedia for your PC? Amp software,very realistic sounds out of your PC ,All you need is a guitar input box,focusright are very good and there are lots of different units,presonus,soundport,lots of makes and finally they take up NO room,just get good Speakers,also means you can get a program like Magix musicmaker and record an album! Hope that helps man.....PS the VOX VT30 is a cool amp with a preamp tube built in,crunchy as hell,check out my review of it,a really good amp for €100!

What amp and pedal settings are you using for this? Sounds incredible.

Hi Scott,so sorry i missed your comment, i was using the Peavey Vyper and the the Marshall Code 50 in stereo but the EMG 56/77 are the ingredients that make the sustain in this video,really smooth pickups but catch every bit of sustain. Thanks for watching!

Where do you get your back tracks ??
@IRISHguitarist7775 жыл бұрын
Hi,l use a Boss RC20 loopstation and lay down a layer of chords first then add some voicings over the chordal track then finally solo over those tracks.
