Green Reign SVSS already in my collection and Red Reign SVSS being delivered tonight! Extremely well made guitars at a very affordable price given it's extras. If these were sold by any other mfg they'd easily be $1300 guitars. Super comfortable to play and you can get Satriani style harmonics with the Sustaniac!

I'm an Ibanez guy too and am blown away by this Schecter axe. Love the Sustainiac & switch for Fundamental/Mix/Harmonic. If the neck feels similar to the Ibanez Wizard necks, I'm definitely getting this guitar in Riviera Blue! The Birch Green looks more like fluorescent yellow to me. Both look awesome with the black pickguard & ebony fretboard. BTW great review and excellent playing too!

@@denisinchains That's awesome, Happy NGD! 🎸 I'm holding off buying one for now since I already have a few too many guitars (19) and can't afford one yet. Might eventually trade in a few guitars I rarely play for a used one in Riviera blue if I can find a good deal.

Hi Jon, thanks for all the super Schecter reviews. In this one, during that lovely solo from about 2:00-4:00 minutes, I noted your thumb is placed over the three upper strings when the Sustainiac is engaged. Is that your technique to mute strings that aren't being played to prevent sympathetic vibration? One of the two reasons I'm hesitating to jump into a Sustainiac guitar is having to always consider controlling that instead of just just being into the playing.
@JonIsJustTooLoud7 ай бұрын

Nice video!! I have a question. I am looking for a guitar like this with a sustainer. I have pretty short fingers. Would this guitar be more suited for someone with large hands and fingers? I am looking for a neck with 24 frets and a sustainiac that does not overtax small hands.
@JonIsJustTooLoud2 жыл бұрын
If you can play a regular Stratocaster, then the neck is fine ✌️❤️
@WoodsyGuitars2 жыл бұрын
I had this question as well, the specs suggest the neck is quite narrow which would be ideal for me (shorter fingers as well) but suggests it's smaller than a regular strat. Did you get one? If so what did you think?

The concept is entertaining, the tone is definitely not. Pretty sure the sustainiac magnet pulls the strings way too hard, in turn killing the tone. Plus when the harmonics kick in, it sounds too processed. Just learn how to do pinch harmonics and buy a guitar without a giant magnet as a pickup
