Yes I agree this is a very moving version, Bruckner was authentic in his sacred music I think, but I love the fact that you can also have something as bombastically joyful as Charpentier! kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2Svep-whdmmo9k

This drags. I prefer Jochum's version.

Poor singers! This is TOO SLOW!!!! Sounds lovely, yes, but in execution it must be so demanding for the singers. It already is hard to sing vocally let alone in this dragging pace.

this is gods music no great music was ever composed by an atheist facts from vienna austria where it all began gluck, haydn, mozart, beethoven, schubert, bruckner, brahms, j.strauss. schönberg. alban berg, von webern. sorry for the asshole hitler we also produced

"no great music was ever composed by an atheist" Laughably false. This statement is the product of ignorance, bigotry, or both. As for "where it all began", I'm pretty sure that art music-and certainly sacred music-originated considerably earlier than the late 18th century. By several centuries.

The impact of atheism on the ability to write music is doubtful at best.

Fussy? Why?
@billtroop42363 жыл бұрын
@@LadyAkratos Karajan in recordings was often excessively smooth and mannered in a way that wasn't necessarily true of his live performances, which could be quite different. (Same with Kempff.) Bruckner was a simple direct composer and Forster catches that better than his more famous colleague.
