Schindler's Port Technology has replaced the ancient up/down elevator buttons in the building I'm working in. 4 elevators managing 10 stories of office floors + 2 parking underground stories. Before Schindler's Port Technology the situation was not good. After Schindler's Port Technology has been implemented, it's significantly worse. People were so furious because of how utterly insane the elevator cabin travel pattern became that office building management was receiving steady flow of complaints. The solution: after several futile attempts to fix the insane cabin patterns, the indicator above the elevator doors showing where currently the cabin is has been disabled.

Another thing is that you should put another indicator below the destination indicator ( which shows the floors entered ) to indicate which floors from which the elevator is being called.

Absolute garbage technology in practice. Has been nothing but a problem at our facility. I don’t know a single person who speaks of it approvingly even after several months of acclimation to using it.
