I've been a fan of Leanne for years. I'm glad Netflix finally is catching up with me! It is so refreshing to hear a comedian who does not think she has to use obscene words or tell offensive and disgusting stories in order to get a laugh. Leanne doesn't just tell funny stories. She tells stories funny! I am so glad that the world is finally recognizing her talent. My brother went to see the country legend Merle Haggard in concert and something happened that got The Strangers (his band) tickled and they started giggling and couldn't stop. Merle stopped the music and turned to them and said, "These people have paid a lot of money to come and see us perform and we are NOT going to stand up here and laugh." The Strangers stopped giggling IMMEDIATELY! Merle had a very good idea of what the audience had gone through to see him and he very strongly felt that he wanted to give them their money's worth. And he did. I saw him in concert twice and both shows were amazing!

Speaking of not cussing, et cetera; and generally being raised in a Christian household, myself--- back in the middle of the 1960s through to the 1980s--- I had an aunt who was a Baptist preacher's wife and very southern. Anytime we were visiting them and a soap opera came on the tv, she would say, "Change the channel. We don't watch that TommyRot!" (hahaha) She would apply that same term to anything that she considered immoral. I have never heard anyone else use that word in my 60 years of living. And if she was retelling something feisty that she heard someone say, she would quote them (for example) by saying, "Bob got so mad with Jim that he said if Jim did that again, he was gonna kick his Hebrew donkey!" She would not say "ass", but would instead give that description the best and cleverest euphemism that she could think of, while showing-off her Biblical knowledge at the same time. (LOL!) Needless to say, The South is rich with colorful sayings and vernacular, for sure. And to wrap it all up, I would like to remark that this interview kept me engaged and laughing for the entire time. Goooood stuff.

Leanne is completely correct about men only having a certain number of words that they use up in a day! My husband is exactly like this. He talks all day to the public in his job...and when he gets home, he is literally all talked out. I, on the other hand could talk under water with a mouth full of marbles!! I want to chat to him about his day, my day, and the world in general. He literally sighs...rolls his eyes...and simply turns his back on me and walks off to the bedroom to lay down and watch a movie. He says, his brain can't think of anymore words, and he just wants to switch off and not think anymore. It is an actual thing. My best friends husband does the same thing....

Hello John I have been watching more of your videos lately.... So I have been praying for you more . One of my gifts is intercession for people The LORD puts on my heart and mind ... As I was praying for you today The LORD gave me Matthew 10:1-42. I know you don't know me from Adam... Lol And you probably get a lot of these, but I have experience that The LORD gives intercessors to people in ministry. The LORD has brought people to me that value prayer more than money. Hands down, John Crist is truly a creative comedic genius. He is so witty but his inner demons are still haunting him. Thank you!! I thought I was the only one that noticed that. He’s rude. He interrupts and talks over his guests. Poor Leanne couldn’t get a word in edgewise. And the whole time that Leanne was trying to say something, he was saying yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah… it drove me crazy. He might as well have been snapping his fingers and saying HURRY UP!! Women our age can’t be interrupted when we’re talking because we forget what we were talking about. 🤣🤪 He might not realize what he’s doing but somebody needs to tell him. The perfect example was right there at the end when she said oh I had no idea what you were talking about. I don’t think she realized that he was talking to her, because the whole interview he was just talking to and about himself, and I think she got confused. I bet she never does another interview with him. She was exhausted by the end.
