You should never put thinset directly on wood. Eventually it will warp. Also the installation manuals provide directions on how to install.

Hi Jeremy I appreciate your feedback. What would be an alternative? I thought about putting down their sheeting product but that also requires thin set. If I poured self leveler wouldn’t that be the same thing? It’s been over a year and no issues so far. Thanks for watching bud.

@@vinnythehandyman usually a backerboard and water proof system will work best. Just think about it. Would you put water on your hardwood floor. Good luck
