They’ve said in interviews that they decided day one not to pay attention to contemporary music, but to just do their thing as best they could. To my ears this song sounds like it could have been in one of their musicals. But then again they flirted with that form already in the Abba era. Benny revealed that when ”the girls”, as he likes to call them, were on the way to the studio, he suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to ask them if they could still sing. Luckily his mind was soon put at ease…

The ABBAtars at the end are a glimpse at their new concert experience coming next summer in a purpose built arena in London. They used extensive motion capture technology to create their likenesses and will be backed up by a 10 piece band performing both new and their old classics.

motion capture was done with 160 cameras, and it took 5 weeks to perform 22 songs (90 minutes) for the entire concert they (the ABBAtars) will do next year. thus this will be the original ABBA voices, the original ABBA choreographie, the original ABBA gestures and face movements while singing, and the overlayed original abba skin, looks and clothing from 40 years ago, creating the new ABBAtars to go on tour while ABBA may stay at home, maybe occasionally watch their own concert like the audience, and hopefully/maybe even do another new album in the future ...

Wow! If you've really listened to them, you would know this is really different. It builds on all their later years of musicals. CHESS and Kristina. The women had distinct careers afterwards as well. There was no going back.
