[Elliot Here] First off thanks to Jenn for filming this video! After I fell, I knew there was no immediate danger and asked Jen to film even though she just wanted to help. She was a superstar keeping the house together and making sure Ollie was cared for. ❤️ Secondly thank you to everyone watching and supporting our journey so far! You have all been so kind and encouraging for us new boaters, and we are thankful for each and every one of you who have watched our videos. We hope this explains why we aren’t further on the Loop and why we’ve been behind on so many videos but in less than 2 weeks we’ll be in real time (or at least very close to it).

Ooo boy I did something similar getting ON my boat once. Misstepped and landed on my shoulder and jacked the rotator cuff up. I can still feel it just thinking about it. And this was right after the boat lift dropped my boat in the water, so I had to get it out of the slip and back to our dock. And I was by myself. Right after I did it I as in total denial, but halfway across the adrenaline wore off. Not a fun trip. I called some friends nearby to come meet me at the pier and luckily they were available because I had no clue how I was going to tie up, I could barely move.

OH my, get well soon, we fear a fall off of our boat also , being a flush deck style we are about twice as high as Pivot, My wife gets mad at me because i am always reminding her not to try to carry anything up the ladder .. we hand things onboard after one of us is onboard ,, the three points of contact is a hard and fast rule for me.. either two hands on the rail and one foot on the ladder or two feet on the ladder and one hand on the handrail. about 5 years ago my wife shattered her wrist while roller skating ( at 64 ) had 6 screws and a plate put in.. I am hoping you will not need surgery and that you heal fast... Bakery and dog sitter..got to love small communities
@SchoandJo3 жыл бұрын
Three points of contact are key! All it takes is one slip like this and even though I fell pretty correctly it was just too far a height differential… Very wise! Small communities are definitely amazing, thanks James!

Wow....sorry to hear about your accident. Ohhhh no pain meds! You're lucky you broke your wrist instead of breaking a leg. I broke my leg to where I have a rod in my leg and screws in my ankle and foot. Had to use a wheelchair for 14 months. Something like that would put a crimp in your boat-living lifestyle. I won't bore you with all that I had to go through. Hope you have a fast recovery!
