I love how calm he was with his wife while they were docking. He knew she was extremely nervous so he calmly talked her threw it and she was able to get it docked. Great job !!! Team work

I love watching y’all back your ears and just do it. Y’all have guts. Keep up the videos not just learning how to sail but doing all the up grades to your boat. I wish y’all all the best.

We recently purchased a 35 CHB and are new to boating in the Pacific Northwest. I feel your stress when docking. Jen, you did a great job. Enjoying your videos. I'm older and have more yesterdays than tomorrows. I like to see you two taking on challenges and experiences at a young age. Elliott, I am impressed with your positive attitude . Thanks for the vids.

Thanks so much for your comment! It means a lot to us. The PNW seems like a dream boating destination which we'd love to do one day. I hope you enjoy it and let us know if we can help if you have any noob questions. Sometimes its easier to learn from someone who's right in the thick of it too 😁

Girl!!!! You killed it!! It makes me grin to think about what Jenn 4 weeks before this would have said if anyone told her she would be docking like a pro in a month! You are amazing!!

Cap'n Jenn great job on your first docking. Could tell it was stressful for you. You will get the hang of relative motion near the docks with practice. Just make sure once lines are over that you are in nuetral before walking away from the helm...Trust me nothing good happens when you forget to take the boat out of gear, been there done that once. You two be safe and hopefully Elliot is healing well.
@SchoandJo3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Jeffrey - it was very stressful and probably will be until we do it a couple more hundred times! Haha definitely don't want to forget to take the boat out of gear, I can already see how that would end. Thanks for getting through some of our rough footage docking, we'll get better shots next time!
@rfdinesen40273 жыл бұрын
Great job! It's absolutely normal to be really stressed docking in the beginning. You watch people who sail around the world and they get very squirrely and nervous when they have to dock. There's a lot to take in and account for. Great for your future that you are willing to get the experience.

Thanks so much Rebecca! We keep a count of each successful dock and they are beginning to greatly outweigh our 2 poor experiences on our Maiden Voyage... We appreciate your support and advice!

Haha I knew someone would catch this when we were reviewing the video! Nice job Paul! I think Jen meant to say first time approaching docking and eventually into the slip but hey there's always firsts depending on how you look at it 😁

@@SchoandJo I love you site. You really tell it like it is, the good with the not so good. As a delivery Captain I have experienced all of it. Good luck with your winter projects. You will be back on the Loop before you know it.. Let me know when you get to Annapolis next time and I I’ll help you get around so you can resupply.
