Great to have such a supportive family. You guys are like us, high school sweethearts. You’re so lucky to find the right person early & enjoy the same things, it’s such a huge win win. We love your videos.

Loved seeing the island! It’s a spot we both really want to visit. We had no idea armadillos lived there and we loved seeing Ollie discover them 😍

Surprisingly although we spent quite a bit of time on the island last time, this was the first we saw them and there were a TON! Ollie had no clue but the sounds she was making were hilarious

Ollie reminds me of a couple beagles we had growing up, they were litter mates and both would stand on the bow of whatever boat we were on with their ears catching the wind.. lady and shorty ❤

Jenn, you and your Aunt Patti could pass for sisters. Same smile and mannerisms. All good traits. Ollie amazes me with his enjoyment of riding on the bow of the dinghy and playing with what ever that object was he had on the beach. I'm still about 3 weeks behind your blogs because of a computer failure. Trying my best to catch up. Later

Haha thanks Tom! Ollie brings us a lot joy in her random mannerisms 😁 Thanks for continuing to watch and being a part of our journey!

Thanks David! We fortunately had a bit better weather than y'all! You got the worst of it for us to have decent (albeit windy) weather!

One of your best videos. Ollie loved his hike and time on "land". Your uncle's efforts to clean beach applauded. There is so much plastic and fishing line and nets, its so sad. Did beach clean up in Alaska and Oregon but overwhelming amount of human trash. Great hike, history and fun with family. Aloha!

Its crazy the amount of trash out there... thanks for doing your part as well! Cheers

Cumberland Island is a prerequisite stop every time we pass the St Mary’s River. One year we even spent a month in an apartment above Sea Camp volunteering for the National Park Service. Our sailboat Scout is on the hard in St Mary’s Boatyard for the summer as I write this. Enjoy!

Loved the video. A couple of items: 1. The oaks are live oaks, prized by ship builders. The curved limbs and crotches are used to form the ribs, prow and stern structure of wooden vessels. 2. The holly you found is a yaupon holly, not Yukon holly. Native to the area and beautiful bright red berries later in the year. Keep up the good work!

Sorry, I knew what it was and had read about the yaupon (holly) but not how to pronounce it - slip of the tongue on live camera!

Must have been English settlers because Cumberland is is a historic county in North West England that had an administrative function from the 12th century until 1974 and Dungeness is a headland on the coast of Kent, a vast shingle beach in the form of a cuspate foreland. Ha ha now you know :)

What's with the drone flying prohibited sign? That's as bad as militant no vaping rules.
@SchoandJo Жыл бұрын
I think mostly because of the migratory shore birds. It can possibly interrupt their environment depending on where /how the drones are flown! So I think it’s easier to ban them all together 🤷
