Scholarly ZEIT GUEST is a video podcast about new ideas and trends in Slavic Studies, co-hosted by Prof.Mark Lipovetsky and Dr.Tatiana Efremova at the Harriman Institute, Columbia University. The fifth episode features a conversation with Lilya Kaganovsky, Professor of Slavic and Eastern European Languages and Cultures at UCLA. We talk about remodeling the field, explore the potential of the female gaze to shift our optics, and discuss the latest trends in documentary and feature film-making coming from the region.
