Really good points on how to describe experience in other roles as transferable skills for the job! That's always something that puts me off interview questions-limiting beliefs on how well I match the role on paper although I feel in day to day I'd be capable.

Meena.. absolutely well done on getting the job. I went for an interview yesterday in a school office and I didn't get it.. like you I was up against someone with experience and she got it. I am gutted. I find It really unfair they don't give the underdog a chance. Especially when someone else has experience, they won't struggle as much as the likes of us without experience

Are they not quite lengthy answers? More obviously like a prepared speech when replying and Im not sure all of it would seem authentic 🤔 Saying things like "secondly and finally" are essay phrases so it still makes it hard to confidently answer without stumbling or feeling awkward

Is there anyway for me to contact you personally. I had an interview yesterday as a school admim and I didn't get it. Gutted isn't the word. But I know I was very vague with my answers and I was nervous to the point I nearly cancelled. I don't have self confidence in the respect of bigging myself up.. and don't do well in interviews especially if there is more that 1 person... i dont like not knowing what is going to be asked. I would like to send you another job description that I have an interview for next week so u can possibly help me figure out what is going to be asked. Its one thing to get the job but it's another to do it properly. I'm appalled at mist receptionists I encounter these days. Terrible customer service in shops and most counters.
