I love that the students have the option to enroll in Early College High School. Our oldest grandson Ian just graduated from college on Sunday May 19. He has a double associates degree. On Tuesday, May 21, he graduated from High School and it was all paid for by Canton Ohio city schools. Now it's off to college for a bachelors degree. This is a good program that give the kids a great start to their higher education. No judgement for those who don't want to participate. It is obvious that you are a good teacher and care for your students. Hat off to you teaching 8th grade. That can be a hard age to work with but it sounds like you are doing a great job judging from the comments of your students. Enjoy your summer and I love watching your videos.

I know some supplies to enrich a room might be provided at the start of the year but it's never much. Every teacher does so much more than most people ever realize! Today was an emotional day for me Tina! My daughter is a senior and today was sun rise breakfast followed by class pictures and senior speeches and then the kids take one last walk thru the halls and then out to the community field for a senior send off party! Graduation is next Friday!

Thank you for being a teacher. I retired May 2021 with 20 years of 5th grade science and 10 years of general music for 6th,7th,and 8th graders. Its was both a sad and happy time at the end of each school year. Have a great summer. God bless.

I substituted for 24 years. Did everything from gym, Spanish , chemistry to special need class.( have a daughter with DS plus 3 other children, as a single parent). ….. By substituting I saw first hand what all teacher did daily in the classrooms. From having some amazing students to the unruly ones. By hat is off to you ALL. ….. Here in Ky our last day was yesterday. We were supposed to be out on the 13th but thts another story 🤦‍♀️😁 I hope u have a great summer break. Great teachers r hard to find, and unfortunately they’re very few of them. I can totally understand how one would get burnt out very quickly, however they stay there instead of walking away. And tht makes it really hard for the kids and parents. We def need more teachers like u and Lester, for sure 👍🏻 Have a great wkend, God bless u all 🫶🏻🙏

Our last day at my school is the 30th. This will be my 25th year! It sure doesn’t seem that long. I hang up the sweet pictures and notes that the students write me too! The last day is always bittersweet, I love to see the growth the students make throughout the year, but it’s also hard because it seems like by the end of the year I get them right where I want them to be, and then it’s time to let them go.

Thank you to you and all your amazing co-working teachers God bless you all and keep you all safe for the incredibly hard work that you do and put in for these kids I think the job that teachers do even more beyond the work is the relationships and it probably is incredibly frustrating at times with 8th grade boys I know I have a 14 year old son and they are challenging at that hormonal adolescent age and even the teachers that teach all the other students thank you so much for what you do thank you so much for the time and dedication and you have to love the job to do it right and Tina you are awesome you do it right we all have our moments and are trying times but you are an amazing leader we need more of you in our schools we need more teachers that want to build the fundamental skills that teach these people how to be productive members of society the kids need it and thank you so much for your incredibly incredibly hard work

The schools break up on 24th July and go back on 2nd September, in fact this year the summer break is five weeks and two days. England has the shortest summer break in the world.

I had almost thirty weight years of last days. I became ill just before the last one. I had to retire....2012. I taught mostly middle school Language Arts and Bible. Many of my babies are retiring themselves and have become my FB friends, as well. I love it

Tina, you made me miss my former high school students! ☹️ I've been retired a while. Are all the classrooms in your school windowless?! That would have driven me crazy. Guess that's how you keep rooms cooler in Texas. Your kiddos seen very nice. I will tell you that the wild and crazy grade 8 boys continue to be wild and crazy in grades 9 and 10! It takes "a minute" for them to evolve. 😄 I too loved my job for almost 4 decades. It was only the "administrivia" that got tedious after a while. Local students here will be in classes until closer to the end of June with graduation ceremonies taking place then. Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Our May long weekend was last weekend.
