We need justice for this innocent child. The criminal who did this along with the school need to be held accountable ASAP.

Look what was done was horrible. Stop calling a kid a criminal. Children play and bully and bad things happen. When the bigger boy realised the younger kid passed out he tried to help him. The older boy should not have done what he did in the first place playing or not.

Children play and shit happens, we can't be calling children criminals, he did wrong, but which one of us didn't do crap as kids, we just got lucky that it we never got to this point, I as a parent regret what happened to this beautiful child, and do agree measures should be taken, I can't imagine how his parents feel, but let's address the elephant in the situation, without calling names, the older child must be held accountable for his actions, so are the teachers who didn't speak the truth about the situation! It breaks my heart for these parents. Deal with it as a people, no division, we need to stop this behavior and come together as one.

@@Westindiangyal1111 What kind of children do you and your family raise to inflict deadly bodily harm to another child and have the audacity to think it is justifiable due to being a juvenile? Guess what 🤷🏽♂️ that behavior should not be acceptable in society and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to be kept at a distance along with the rest of the criminal population.

Very sad indeed. We need to get back to the basics of building strong societies, and that starts at the level of the family. Our children are allowed to get away with too many wayward behaviour. Although the 14 year old child did not mean to kill he knew perfectly well that slamming a gate on the other child could cause bodily harm. He should be held accountable.

The ministry of education need to stop investigating these incidents and actually do something about them. Rules should be put in place for acts of violence taken by children towards other children. These children need to know that they will have to face serious consequences if they indulge in violence. These incidents have been escalating recently in schools throughout this country and investigating them isn't changing anything. I say again these children need to face serious consequences. My condolences to the family and friends of the child.

Trouble makers doing more and more nonsense in and around school and taking everything for joke, then the education ministry keep sheltering them instead of holding them responsible. I fed up hearing of them lil criminals that they are children and they don't know what they're doing. This bullying issue in our schools getting too regular

This is so heartbreaking. My sympathy to the family relatives , friends and classmates. I hope the Ministry of Education will train several teachers in First Aid and equip all schools with a first aid kit and lots of ice packs . You can't judge the severity of any wound by the size. First Aid is very important. Assigned Teachers should be at the gate to see the students leave every day. Sometimes is not horse play. It's students being bullied.

This was how my cousin, Joshua Hubbard of St Margaret Primary School died years ago.A sixth grade student took away the rose he bought for his mom so he tried to retrieve it and the boy push him down the steps and he hit his head. Later that night he complained of a pain in his head. They then rushed him to the hospital but he died on the way. They need to punish these youths!!!

They should try that 14 year old in court as an adult. He aught to face the consequences for his action. Dont understand why the headmistress reported as an accident. The parents are entitled to know the truth. This is so tragic. My sympathy to the family and hope the ministry's approach bring closure to this grieving family.
