Dude, my school started at sunrise , and before dawn if it was winter, we had to wait at the bus stop for hours because the bus company sucked at 6:00 in the morning and it was usually so cold that once I forgot to dry my hair after showering and when I was at the bus stop, my hair froze. (I went to school in New England)and the heater at my school sucked so bad that my fingers turned BLUE. Then at the start of the first period my teacher walks in, sees my hair and yells “GO TO THE NURSE!” And I’m like why? And she’s like “YOUR HAIR IS FROZEN!” And I’m totally oblivious to this because I wore a hoodie and gloves, so I take off my hood after taking off my gloves and check my hair. I cuss, and ask for her to write me a pass and then I say, Miss… my fingers are turning blue… and my teacher freaks out, calls the nurse and I got sent home after a very loud conversation where the nurse yelled at my mom for letting me go to school, who said I woke myself in the morning then I got yelled at and then I had to tell the nurse that she had to go yell at the bus company because my bus was late that day and I had been sitting on the frozen grass, with my brother and friends on the side of the road, in the dark with no protection from the elements for over an hour. My friends and brother then got called down to the nurse and a couple of us were sent home at 8:00 AM for signs of hypothermia. They all came to my house and we warmed up in piles and piles of blankets sitting on beanbags next to the wood stove which we kept burning all day. So yeah, the bus company got in trouble.

I live in Australia but we still got crazy shit happening. My year 12 psychology teacher told me that a school she used to work at had one class that caused every teacher that taught it to leave the school and every substitute teacher to only take it once before refusing any subsequent time because the kids were crazy, boy vs girl whole class fights (girls were just as crazy as the boys), taking off the flyscreen on windows to jump out of them, headbutting walls, and broken furniture being a constant were just the few she listed off. It was so bad that despite making a vow to never leave a teaching job until the year ends she left midway through the year. Or something more recent at my sister campus (year 7-10, 13-16 y/o) from my old highschool a girl had (to our knowledge) 4 FUCKING ABORTIONS and WAS ON DRUGS (the drugs we were certain of)

my old school used to get 3 threats every year, about 15-20 fights each year, 3 students who had to use clear bags since they brought knives, about 7 restraining orders for 2 students each, 3 main couples who made out in the hallway in 6TH GRADE.

I went to a high school that was kind of like that. I remember being in 3-4 real lockdowns. 1 to 2 of them have to do with kids legitimately bringing guns in but luckily the police responded just in time before a shooting even happened. We also had a significant amount of threats and the school didn’t take it seriously. However that all changed later on. Because at least 3 months after I graduated, I heard and saw reports of a double stabbing at my old high school. It was a serious one since it was all over the media and there was even a news conference about it. Even though I graduated before it happened It still traumatized me based on what i saw and heard (most of the pics and videos were eventually removed because they were considered of course too bloody/scary) what’s crazier is that i was classmates/busmates with 2-3 of the suspects/troublemakers in general. (Busmates meaning i rode the school bus with them)
