I was wondering the same thing. The piano recording quality is excellent - and no mics in sight. I’ve been struggling to try and get quality recordings from my acoustic and I’m still not satisfied (and can’t justify the $3,000 for the PM40 setups I’ve seen).

I just use my new iPhone (latest model, I forget which one) with no mic or anything! Then, I process it in iMovie on my Mac.
