Tonnage monitors and trim monitors?

At this machine, press force monitoring is standard. Also, the press is used for blanking only (no trimming). Hope this answers your question.

Are safety glasses illegal outside of the USA?

According to German regulations, the operators don't need safety glasses at this machine because of several other work safety measures like protective fences

you're right, the video is supposed to give an overview of the press system, including automation. Also, due to safety restrictions, it was not possible to place a camera in the die area.
