Great to see this process live, thank you! I am very intrigued by the S&L rifles.

It's even quicker with the "Traveller Conversion" fitted. We've done an example of this with a Classic Synthetic and a complete barrel switch in under 40 seconds - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppTMp6KCh7BlmM0 If you have any questions or would like to know availability, feel free to contact us at sales@alanrhone.com Thanks

I had my S&L for 5 years now. Startede with a 243 win barrel but after some time I got an 270 win for it too. Its a plesure to change the barrels and the system works very well. The action is very fast if you need an extra shoot ....I just love this rifle.

Fantastic to hear you're getting so much from your Schultz & Larsen. We love to hear positive feedback as we enjoy the rifle so much ourselves, so it's always good to hear others with the same experience.

Iam a dane so its easy to love a danish rifle (",). They have been making rifles for sport shooting for a long time. A the barrels they make on this old machines are superb they hit where you aim year after year. A friend of mine is the 3 gen in that family that uses the same S&L rifle..

Are these fully floated ? In .243 what is twist rate ? How does it like 55 grain .243 anyone any experience . They seem like a hidden gem of rifle .
@alanrhonemedia4 жыл бұрын
Hi John, yes the barrel is fully floating. The twist on the .243 is 1:10. Not to sure how 55 gr handles as I think we'd generally use 70 gr. The barrels are very accurate and from all of the .243 barrels we've supplied we've not had any complaints. It is a bit of a hidden gem to be fair, such a great rifle and very well made!!

@@alanrhonemedia will be getting my gun dealer to order one . Is there an option for varmint barrell or are they all light weight sporters
@alanrhonemedia4 жыл бұрын
@@daltonj15 Sounds good. If you're looking for .243 we do have a good stock. So you won't have any long delivery times at all. In terms of a thicker barrel option, this is available but only in certain calibres and currently not in the .243 I'm afraid. The thinker profile is usually 17-19mm diameter and is classed as a Continental profile. The barrels extremely accurate and I wouldn't say you'd see any more accuracy with a thicker profile. S&L barrels are not hammer forged, broach or button rifled. They feature cut rifling where every groove is cut individually removing a tiny amount of metal on each pass. To cut the rifling on a S&L barrel takes a minimum of 1 and a half hours. The other methods take minutes, seconds in some cases. The advantage is that the barrel does not even get warm. There is no stress generated during the rifling process and for that reason, S&L barrels do not "walk" as they get warm. There will be no change of impact. This has been tested and demonstrated many times by customers.

Don't see fascination with switch barrels you have to license as two separate rifles and rezero every time why not just get 2 rifles who doesn't want 2 rifles at the range to practice with or to bring shooting no messing
@jakelan62974 жыл бұрын
Your absolute right on that. The advantage is when you shoot a lot - like several thousand round a year, you can just change your barrel when it is done and worn out, keeping your other gun parts.

Here in Sweden we are only allowed to have six hunting rifles. If I have one rifle with four barrels it's still only one rifle and can get five other rifles/shotguns.

@@jakelan6297 that would be a benefit alright .

@@henrikh8650 you are very lucky here in Ireland we have to license the barrells not the action which is unfortunate . If It was the other way around I would have about different barrells
