My old M70 Win that my dad bought in the late 50s has a Weaver K6 scope. That scope has been on it since day one and my dad never had to adjust the scope and in the 50 years I owned it I never needed to adjust the scope either. It’s accounted for a lot of mule deer, whitetails and antelope. Now that my oldest grandson has it I sure would like him to get a deer with it to complete the circle. First time I had heard of the Schultz and Larsen rifles. Checked them out on the web, very interesting company and rifles. I was in Denmark in the 70s, wish I had known about them, I would have visited their facility.

Bought some weeks ago a S&L classic with second barrel. The best action I ever used and very accurate.

I truly do love videos that show the beauty in firearms. I do enjoy shooting all of my firearms. I just also could be content staring a few of them, just to admire the beauty. Unfortunately, we don't have many choices for modern firearms in this class.

Beautiful and Danish. Very neat. My Steyr SSG is also rear locking but I personally have never felt a finer bolt action.

I had one and am yet to find a finer bolt than ssg

I have a S&L 62 target 28" heavy barrel in 6.5 x 55 Swede,crazy accurate!! The gun weighs 14#s with 20 power scope and rear peep sight also.

The Model 62 is a 3 position rifle , They shot this centre fire match in the Olympics ,same discipline as the .22 rim match albeit @ 300 meters.It is no longer shot.Top rifle manufactures in Europe made rifles for this match, Tanner a Swiss Co. was one as well.I have just bought one here in Australia. We have quite a few of Mod.62 in our Club .Hahndorf Rifle Club established in 1864 still shoot a 200 mt. German Ring Match. These rifles have been used to win many Kingship matches @ HRC. They use Aperture sights and the Bull is 2” . Cheers Mal in au.

I just picked up a 1937 S &L in 22. The barrel was shortened to 20" about. The peep sights are missing, but it has been drilled and tapped for weaver rings. Gonna test it tomorrow. The crown was professionally done, recessed nicely.

I am curious-- in what sort of target disciplines/ competitions was the target rifle used? I should thank you for providing such nice videos on old school bolt action sporter rifles ; it's a welcome relief from the proliferation of wannabe commando videos on tactical rifles accompanied by insufferably loud music and martial pretensions! I greatly appreciate the civilized discussion of fine sporting firearms you conduct here.

Thank you so much! Your words mean a lot to me. I was tired of those videos too. Over many years I encountered so many truly fine people interested in firearms and I thought I should do something to show a different side to the firearms community - around the world - and by far the majority. I have nothing against lawfully shooting microwave ovens, cell phones and various melons and such - but that is not what we all do. Welcome to my channel and please invite your friends and write often. The target rifle according to my more knowledgeable friends was used in unlimited class matches to 1000 yards - with aperture sights - which were replaced by the scope. This is probably not quite right as there are so many different classifications around the world. Anyway it is remarkably accurate - but I wish the trigger didn't have to be cocked.

Sir, what are the design & construction differences between the Schultz & Larsen M-69 and the Swedish CG-63? Such interesting rifles. Thank you for the information and the great videos.

The sear engagement screw in the Remington trigger group is what some people adjust wrong, making it unsafe. The trigger group is great, but the people who adjust it wrong and blame Remington are not.

Excellent, i would ask the SL page about the M2,looks like a Freerifle it started from before it got scope mounted. Great stock it has on it .

Its an older compatition rifle from S&L. It has the mount for diopter sights on the side. They are as you say very accurate (",)..

Thanks Morten - I'm getting used to the trigger; which has to be cocked separately from the bolt. Mine is 30-06; wish it was .308 or 6.5X55.
@mortenjrgensen54977 жыл бұрын
I think is an match trigger you have on your S&L and they are very good..it feels like braking a fine piece of glass. The new triggers are even better. Why is 30.06 a problem ?. 6.5 x 55 is a good caliber and you can make very good handloads with this (",) here in Denmark used a lot in hunting.

Great description - breaking glass. I try to buy bulk and it is difficult to find bulk '06 - other than that - that cartridge is among the best.
