The original Schumacher COUGAR was the first of a long line of successful COUGAR 2WD buggies which are still winning races today.
In this video we talk to Cecil Schumacher and Jurgen Lautenbach from LRP about the car and its history.
The COUGAR Classic is an authentic re-release using much of the original tooling, but with a few subtle improvements such as fittings for modern lipo batteries.

same here, I had an Ultima Pro and was about to switch to this one or the RC10 Graphite......I stuck to the Ultima, I knew it, I loved it.

I raced a second hand one of these cars in a far off country. It was my first proper race car. The owner before me had installed the long front shocks Cecil talks about. I really loved that car, and am gutted I ever got rid of it! So cool to hear Cecil. I watched the 1993 Worlds video about 100 times and he is on there a bit too, great to hear he is still about, you can tell how he cracks into some super in depth theory how smart he is. And I enjoyed Jurgen's contribution too! I always used LRP when I could. Who knows, one of these may be in my future :)

I had a Top Cat when they first came out, and brought the Cougar conversion kit when the Cougar arrived. I never raced it much though, as I preferred 4wd (for which I had a Kyosho Lazer).
