This is one of the last recordings by trumpeter Bernard Adelstein... This work demonstrates he was one of the greatest ever to play the instrument.

Very generic performance. Furtwangler would have torn it up (perhaps(his performance of the Schumann Fourth was less than breath-taking). Unfortunately, he never undertook it (as far as I know). Klemperer's performances of either work still to be preferred.
