Great review! I just received my personal size nkjv in marbled mahogany and it’s darker than I hoped with not much “marbling” but it’s still a gorgeous dark brown leather. The quality of the bible is the best I’ve ever had.

I love the calfskin I have this in the NJV. I like the 28 gsm however I would love on in verse by verse with the verse numbers highlighted in red....that would be my dream bible lol God bless you brother!

Good review! I agree about the paper. I have a Canterbury in 36 gsm and an NKJV Quentel in 28. I much prefer the 36. The ghosting isn’t bad in the 28, but you know what? It’s really not all that great either, and for this reason, it’s not my primary. No one really talks about the ghosting in the slimmer Schuylers, but it’s there.

Is it really that bad though that you can't highlight with a Gel highlighter I mean these bibles are supposed to be #1 best in a premium bibles I have Zondervan NASB95 SCR bible 36GSM.

@@lyviamorales1173 I’m not sure. I haven’t tried a gel highlighter. I haven’t written in my 36 or 28. It could be okay. All I can say is that you can tell a difference in ghosting from the other side of the page. I wouldn’t say that it is particularly bad, but it is there.

I'm so happy you love your new Bible! I guess I'm spoiled to have looked at so many amazing Bibles. Even some Schuyler Bibles have better looking corners than others. I remember noticing that my Canterbury Wide Margin had slightly better corner work than the Quentel Bibles normally have. To me better corner work simply means that the leather is folded more nicely, neatly... Not easy when you have perimeter stitching, but possible. Great Bible re-binders are masters at that and there's more and more of these artists bringing beauty to the premium Bible market. Blessings!

@@crucified4me what really drew me to this Bible was the text block I wish they made it in a less expensive binding so others could afford it. If it hadn't been for my friend who happens to be unsaved I wouldn't have this. He allowed me to put it on his card and pay him off of the next couple of months. But the font is fantastic I love it I'm astounded that I have anything that nice I praise God for it and my friend. Hopefully this will lead to some good constructive conversations about God

I think that Quentel is nicest bible I have owned. Just special. I have a blue and green so may go for another. Colour. Does it come in RED ? I suddenly like colours inside and out.

Question: If you happen to have them both out at once some time... is the NKJV Quentel print as bold as the CSB? I have the CSB and it is far bolder than my older 36gsm Quentels and darker than the older NASB 28gsm (known as the Thintel). I LOVE the bold print on this CSB. Thank you!

Hey brother, I have them all in front of me, including the 2nd printing of the 28 GSM NKJV Quentel. In my opinion you are absolutely right. The print in the CSB Quentel looks bolder/darker than in the 36 GSM NKJV, 28 GSM NKJV (both printings) and than in the 28 GSM Thinline Quentel NASB. Agree with you 100%. In the first printing of the 28 GSM NKJV there are many inconsistencies in the print and in the margins. The second printing is way better IMO. But nothing beats the CSB Quentel (at least of what I have, I don't have every single Quentel that has been published). Peace :)

I just got the slate goat csb. I wish the cover was thicker but I love the texture of it. The paper is..meh. Over all it really is nice tho.

How does highlighting do in Schuyler 28GSM Bibles? For you

Hi there, I really don't highlight that much, I mainly underline with coloring pencils, and make annotations and cross-references using Micron Pens. For that, the 28 GSM paper in the Schuyler Bibles has been working amazingly well. Even though it is a very thin paper, it takes everything I throw at it with no issues at all. I hope this helps 🤗

I really like the Marbled Mahogany, but just not feeling the ribbon color way. I would have liked to see them to multi colored ribbons or just the single shade of gold that they usually use

I would say it surely helps to pick it up with more excitement 😄 but I've read and studied the Bible everyday for years and years using low quality copies 🙏🏽 I think the beauty and blessing of a premium Bible is that if you take good care of it, it will last you a lifetime, or at least many years...
