I just did this last night and I want to say that it worked wonderfully. I had so many stickers on the front of my laptop and I was able to remove the glue from all of it. You can't even tell that they were there! Thank you this really worked!

I put many stickers in my nitro 5 2019 ver, and it got sprinkled with some water and some of my stickers were like sticking out and there were some adhesive residue and I was going to give up like buy a new cover for the back of my laptop but when I searched this on KZbin some videos have stickers on I was like wow there might be no hope for me no more. Kerosene also works as a great alternative too. You don't even need to wait for 10 minutes for it to work. You can just put a decent amount of kerosene on a cloth and you can start wiping the stuff off immediately. At first it also had the small ring thingy that the sticker left but it somehow disappeared after a few days.

Note as a 20 year IT Admin I highly suggest to be much more careful with spraying the WD-40 onto the Laptop. Tape over vents and ports with painters tape to prevent it from easily getting into them and wipe any excess off immediately so it doesn't run into any vents, ports, cracks or crevices. But WD-40 works great for sticker and label removal.

it happen I have “Remington Rem-Oil with Teflon Lubricant” at home, I spayed small amount on the towel and wipe it on the sticker residue on macbook pro aluminum unibody, it remove the sticky residue easily without damaging the aluminum surface

you might need to give it a second dose and try the cleaning again, if your talking about the actual adhesive. otherwise, its probably just discoloration and there isn't much you can do about that.

It depends on if there are vents, but I'm guessing there are vents. In which case, I would not suggest this as the spray could damage components if it gets in.

Just get a washcloth use hot water and soap and rub it off. Ring out your washcloth before though but this is really effective.

Unfortunately, i am unsure how the WD-40 would react with the rubber surface, but i am guessing it would eat away at the rubber finish. i know this technique does work with glass, metal, and hard painted surfaces.

there is no easy way for this. basically the case has been sun bleached except for where the sticker was. i have seen some people put on a nice vinyl wrap after cleaning the old sticker off, giving a flat and clean surface to start with.

this method is intended for removing stickers from metal surfaces. using the plastic card like i did here does not leave any scratches. i have not tested this against plastic or glass, but glass is a harder surface than plastic cards, so you should not see any scratches in that circumstance either.
