After a spinal cord injury, individuals may be at greater risk for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). These two issues can be life-threatening, so it is vital to understand what occurs, the symptoms, and the need for immediate medical attention. Gaylord physical therapist and spinal cord injury specialist Tim Kilbride discusses these two complications in this video.
