Yes provided you have the copyright permission to use the photos. Any photos you take are owned by you. There are also several public domain/ copyright free photo websites such as pixels.com, pixabay.com or openphoto.net. You can use photos you purchase to use as well but you may find they photos you find for free/the ones you take yourself are more than adiquate. I also recommend downloading custom brushes and making your own custom brushes for whatever digital software you are using to get different textures and feel to the brush. You may find a ‘perfect’ window brush, or one that makes bushes or one for clouds etc. Don’t just stick with the default brushes. Good luck, have fun!
