Hey thanks dude! I don't have any slow tutorials on my channel right now, but I can give you tips whenever you need help! I try to imagine UV unwrapping like cutting apart and object made out of paper, and trying to lay it flat with no creases or folds. Basically you place a uv seam wherever you would cut this imaginary paper object with scissors. I also normally use a few methods for very specific shapes such as cylinders. For the cylinder example I would place two seams on the circular loops on the bottom and top of the cylinder, and then one seam going between those two loops(along the side.) In this way I get a clean unwrap because the two ends of the cylinder(circles)are separate from the side piece of the cylinder(unwrapping into a rectangle.) This means that no texture stretching happens. Probably the most important thing during this process is utilizing the uv grid option(the checkers you see in my video.) This lets you see any stretching your unwrap has, the density of your uv map, and which parts of the uv map are messed up. You can use this by adding a material to your object, adding a texture node, pressing the "create texture" button,, and setting the texture type to uv grid. You then plug this node into your principled bsdf node under color. I'm not sure of exactly what each button is named because I don't have access to my pc right now, but you probably get the gist. This is probably confusing because it's over text, but Blender Guru has a great UV unwrapping tutorial that helped me out when I was learning a lot of this stuff. Again, let me know if you need help! You can send me pictures and stuff at my discord (SquishyCat #9597)
