@rikspector Welcome back my friend, And thank you for your continued support. I'm glad that the channel has created some great feelings and nostalgia for you. Like I mentioned in the video, its such a great genera filled with some great stories, it has always made me feel good. And I'm happy that is bringing back some good memories for you. Speaking of good memories, just last night when I was done for the day I sat down and watched an episode of the 1970's Space 1999. I was really young when that show initially aired, and I enjoyed then, and I still enjoy it today. Have a great day my friend, and as always, your comments are greatly appreciated. Have a great day. Mike

I have just (June2024) "discovered" your channel, I think the first video I watched was your part three on top ten 50's movies. I thoroughly enjoyed that and went back to view your other posts in that series. Love what you're doing. As is evidenced by this video you are mostly in this for "Fun" (lighthearted entertainment), I value that; what I also value is the historical breakthroughs of these old scientific-fiction films, and their social impact where the public awareness of certain topics is raised through these films through empathy, or putting ourselves in situations we otherwise might not, or would not have been able to see/comprehend otherwise. As a result of this I have been hooked, subscribed and look forward to bingeing on your past posts, catching up, and keeping abreast of your posts from here on. I hope you, aside from having fun, can add to some of your videos, a little of the cultural impact of certain movies/books (for instance, "War of The Worlds' " being a protest by H. G. Wells about the attempt by the English to commit genocide of the Tasmanian aboriginals; People may not have been able to accept or relate to this "Genocide" but Wells helped them empathise with "Aliens" (the British) invading the humans (native Tasmanians) with their "alien" plantforms, and advanced weaponry, thus making the scales fall from people's eyes, thus unblinding them). I look forward also to checking out your other channel. By the way, I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but your logo for this channel is, for me anyway, strongly reminiscent of Hugo Gernsback's "Science Fiction League's" logo; if that's the case it's quite a fitting choice. All the best, and Have Fun, Carlos.👍👍👍

OK... I have to admit I was curious why you were showing Jimmy Stewart. But I figured the world could use more of Jimmy anyway so I wasn't going to complain... That 50s video you cited from almost a year ago was the first video of yours I watched. You didn't butcher it completely so I subscribed and mostly lurked for a few months to see if you were serious about this foray into geekdom. It was only after seeing how much effort you were willing to put in that I figured I should start pulling my own weight around here and help out where I can. Congrats on the first of hopefully many years to come. "A generation which ignores the past has no history - and no future." Robert Heinlein, Time Enough for Love

@indyspotes3310 Welcome back my friend, and as always thank you for your comment. You know one of my philosophies in life is you have to be able to laugh at yourself. I did a couple of other videos before that 50s video, just trying to find my legs with this channel. But with that video, that was the great experiment. I knew 10 would never be enough to list, and I knew I would be leaving some great ones off. But one of my favorites I left off that list as an oversight was This Island Earth. So I did two more, and I'll probably do a 4th at some point. Thank you again my friend, I cannot express my appreciation enough for your continued support. Have a great day. Mike

I find it suspicious that you sound like Adam the Professor of Rock. Are you his twin or are you just him branching out to new audiences? It's cool either way if so. Congratulations for your first year anniversary!

@hankcarlock Thank you for your comment, that's hilarious. No I am Adam The Professor of Rock. But, I do enjoy his channel. As much as I love science fiction, I'm also a musician and his channel covers a lot of content that I enjoy. Thank you again for your comment, it is greatly appreciated and stay tuned, there is more Sci-Fi to come, have a great day. Mike
