Thank you DUST for hosting our film!! A MASSIVE shoutout to the incredible cast and crew. It was a privilege to work with such talented people and this piece wouldn't be half the film it is without all of you. From camera to props to costume, everyone brought their absolute A-game to an ambitious project about love, loss, and moving on. I hope everyone enjoys watching this film as much as we enjoyed making it.

This is soooooo good. I just got a little confused as to what happened (or didn’t?) at the end. Was Lucas not wanting to meet the other stranded person because he thought it might lead him to cheating on his husband at home? And is he on the moon? And whose craft was that at the end? 😅
@nxn_art

@@seracessna thanks for watching! There's definitely room for some interpretation at the end... Lucas is struggling with connecting with someone other than his partner, but the loneliness is definitely getting to him! What would you do in that scenario?

I think this film is beautiful- the cinematography is stunning, the acting is compelling, the story is really thoughtful, and the set and costume design complete the world you've built. Mostly, I appreciate that you're able to capture a story that any person can relate to- the dilemma of holding out for something that may never be, or taking the leap and embracing the possibility of what could be- and telling it through a lens that celebrates diversity and representation. Because that matters. Thank you for this.

That was terrific. Made me think of the lyric to an old Stephen Stills song -- "Turn your heartache right into joy, 'cause she's a girl [or he's a boy] and you're a boy. Get it together, make it nice. You ain't gonna need any more advice ... And if you can't be with the one you love, honey, love the one you're with." One of the best written and acted films I've seen on DUST. And the production and direction are right up there as well. 4.3/5.

nope, steampunk in general covers it yet anything post 1945 generally falls to "post apocalyptic" since Hiroshima you know. Fallout games, Mad Max, all have paralel universes yet they fall to that category generally. Yet between 1940 and 1945, like WWII planes etc. I think there is no direct genre name for it since examples are few, like Wolfenstein, The Man in The High Castle etc. Alas I would go for late Steampunk or Alternate WWII Scifi.
@DrTheRich
@DrTheRich Жыл бұрын
@@otgunz steampunk makes no sense for this. like not at all, not in style, worldbuilding nor technology. the idea of steampunk culturally is that it's a world in perpetual industrial revolution, a suffering working class and arrogant aristocrats. where everything that now is solved by electricity and combustion engines, needs to be solved by steampower and mechanical clock work, often focused on the time of inventors. this story has none these things, so the steampunk genre doesn't fit in the slightest. Although it's understandable, seeing how little people actually know about history, that the steampunk genre is widely misunderstood. and for most people doesn't go deeper than tophats with clocks and googles. post apocalyptic can work here, since there seems to have been a reason why all other humans have left earth. it's generally more a cold war thing then a ww2 thing. but you could make a Roman post apocalyptic movie if you wanted. dieselpunk is an recognized genre, fit in a WW1/2 setting, fits here a lot better than steampunk.

I hate over explained products and movies are always sh*t when they over explain stuff. Yet my stomach couldn't digest the WWII setting and space travel (it seems) without proper explanation. I think if this setting was traded with a proper future scifi tech so that the aircrafts, costumes etc. were space style not WWII style, my brain wouldn't ask those questions thus I would instead enjoy the story and acting. Also I would even more enjoy if the pilot was an alien with a made up language (subtitled to English for sure). :)

It's about survival and him facing reality. After all, loneliness is a killer. Maybe "Adam" and "Adam" can start a new civilization in "Eden?"
