Mr. GK I would like to add to your point, as you said positive and negative are the terms that scientists gave in early days we are stuck with this terminology, if you think about it they named it positive for proton and negative for electron which should have been the other way because only after losing electron an atom is said to be positively charged which makes no intuitive sense. There are a lot of little mistakes like this in science that is carried over to date because we can't change it now.
