I look at all these decks (for me personally) staying as unmodified pre-cons (for flavor and playgroup fun). That being said I picture this deck would run better with Liberty Prime than the face commander. Madison only generates energy on cast but you could have Liberty sitting there doing nothing until you get something like Nuka-Cola vending machine or anything else that makes an artifact token and then you can start swinging. I think that is the main reason cards like Nick Valentine are in this deck.

I like camp, i. My head i see it as mostly a extra draw each turn. And with any land untapper affect, it can go higher. Also if its on something like nykthos or a high mana gaining land, then you get a lot

For Screeching Scorchbeast, I would like to suggest Nymris, Oona’s Trickster. It’s a bit of a non-conventional home, but Nymris wants to cast a spell on each player’s turn and gets to put a card in the graveyard every player’s turn which could result in up to 3 bats every turn cycle, although likely it won’t be making any on your turn (outside of the rad counters it gives you).

The Scorch beast will be a new reanimation target for Tormod/Ghost! I'm always looking for large flyers with a good impact, and this reminds me of the new Bladewing, but within Dimir colours: a board on a stick. Very excited to Persist or Stitch Together it, and get zombie tokens and self mill in the deal 😊

Plasma casters works wonderfully in a okuan and zndrsplt deck since no matter what people will always block okuan when he's a huge from flipping coins and because it flips coins and you can do it in instant speed is great plus 9 out of 10 times you'll have krak thumb

I think Rex could be powerful if you already have the energy production for him and then you can copy your own energy activated abilities from your graveyard and stack up multiple synergistic and powerful abilities. You could even turn him into a clue machine i suppose.

Yeah, I think the card reads a bit poorly because it's like a 2/2 with a combat trigger to mill a couple cards and get a bit of energy. But you could just strike that entire first paragraph of Rex and it would still be a super interesting card. You play rex when you have a bunch of energy, you immediately exile a bunch of creature cards. If there are tap abilities, you can give Rex haste via your commanders first ability. It's still absolutely janky, but that's what the card really is about. It's basically a clone/reanimator with extra steps and restrictions. The sad part is that there don't seem to be many energy-counter-creatures that are actually worthwhile copying. And I don't think a self-mill deck with a bunch of powerful tap-abilities on creatures is viable. At least rex would need to be the commander deck in his own deck to be even remotely consistent. The other way is to just hope, in a 4-player EDH-game, that somebody has like a Kiki-Jiki or an Avatar of Woe or a Kuro Pitlord etc. The top paragraph then is more or less a bit of gravy.

The Science deck is interesting. Both commanders want energy to do things but I've found that it is sometimes very hard to keep enough energy for Madison to use her effect every turn. Liberty has been easier but has required more changes to the list to make artifact tokens

I know you said he was bad, and maybe it is just because I like the character that I am a little curious about making an Arcade Ganon deck. Maybe not super exciting, but getting some low cost sacrifice artifacts that can be recurred. And either putting in some untapping or proliferation abilities. Boromir might even be really good as you could cast him back. Arcade is kind of just a likable character in New Vegas, so I am curious about what a deck around him would be like.

Seeing Arcane Ganon with the Doctor subtype brought to mind a complaint I haven’t considered before with Universes Beyond. In the Doctor Who set, the “Doctor’s Companion” ability says “You can have two commanders if the other is the Doctor”. If you read the more comprehensive rules you’ll find that it specifically has to be a Legendary Creature - Time Lord Doctor with no other creature types to keep it limited to the Doctor from Doctor Who. But the actual reminder text is so vague… how many players are going to think that it’s referring to the Doctor subtype? This is one of those things that’s going to be confusing players more and more as we use more IPs.

Thinking of making liberty prime deck. Can sacrifice the foods from nuka cola machine with liberty primes ability. 2 energy, draw a card, and still get the treasure off of vending machine. Just gotta find ways to suplicate my foods or create more. Any ways to abuse untapping liberty prime?

The biggest thing I have noticed from these videos is his comments that cards are inefficient for the cost or not doing enough even if they are a flavorful homerun. Most of these cards are doing so much for their cost, nearly every card has multiple lines of text and are useful in multiple situations. Has commander in general gotten this spikey?

I'm super disappointed that the Artifact theme seems way more prevalent than Energy in the deck, there's a lot of very boring, sometimes straight up worse versions of already existing cards that clog up the deck as a result.

I guess because lighting greaves is anti synergy in aura or equipment decks because it gives the the creature shroud so u cant put anything onto it after u equip it and the deck is trying to be new player friendly.

LG didn't go into the equipment deck because it would actually be a little less synergistic because of shroud even though I still use it in one of my Voltron Decks. I have noticed though some cards in these pre-cons would be better in other pre-cons but I have noticed sometimes those cards are more fit for the secondary commander. Like in this Science deck, Liberty Prime would love those easy tokens while Madison Li can't really use them.
