Question 9 from the leaving cert higher level maths 2020 is a functions question on indices and logs. It is based on bacteria growth as an exponential function. Part b is average value of a function using integration then rate of change after a certain time.

Question 9 a (ii) what is the reason to use natural log? Can you not do it normally no?

it's because we have 'e' in the equation, e and ln are reciprocals
