Easily one of the best narrators ever. I hope this guy continues to have a long and successful career. I'd love to see an episode about some more hand made goods. Like the episode on Bamboo Steamer Baskets. I love automated manufacturing as much as the next guy, but not everything can be made that way (yet).

what made the narration good in your opinion? it feels like a generic advertisement voice reading a script example at 1:32 "the shell starts with chilled, premium grade butter. its the creamiest" sounds like 'read this script provided by our marketing department or you can't air the video'

I was a production worker in a bakery for about a year. Feeding dough into the various bread making machines. Had to pay attention or risk injury though. I did packaging and loading the trucks too. It was always 100 degrees in the building and I dreaded that! However, I did my fair share of sampling the donuts and desserts off the racks in the chiller room. That more than made up for my discomfort. I was in my early 20’s so I worked off the calories in no time!

I can't explain it, but that pie assembly line is made so much more satisfying by the fact that it goes every other station and makes two cycles instead of just doing everything in one straight, linear sequence. Such a well-choreographed production line.

This is basically how we make pies at Marie callenders, but our machine turned the dough into bricks then it's pressed into sheets, and we hand pour the insides of the pie then they go around the table one more time so the top layer can be put on, it's pretty basic
@mozvidz
@mozvidz 2 жыл бұрын
*_I think hand pouring is better because did you see the amount of waste of the apples that fell outside of the pie? Also what happens to the extra trimmed layer of dough that gets mixed up with the spilling apple juices? Does it get back to the kneading place with the juice mixtures?_*

@@mozvidz Successful enterprises rarely waste much. They cannot afford to when their competition is not. So they likely put the "scrap" dough back in the dough extruder's hopper and "run it through one more time". This concept is not new - see the "solera" process for making sherry, for an example.
