Germany has a kids cartoon called the Sandman. It comes on at night before bed. East Germany had one with a beard like father time while West Germany had a beard like Santa Claus. The kindergarten teachers would ask the kids if they watched the show. Then they would ask the kids if he had a long beard or a short beard. They would report the families that were watching West German TV to the KGB.

I love Berlin. I took the duty train to West Berlin and we got on a bus to go to East Berlin in 1986. We had so much fun shopping. We also went to the old train station in West Berlin that used to have a flea market in it. Ate coffee and cake next to a bombed out Church. I t was so cool. Years later we took the bus to Berlin after the wall came down. The eternal flame was no longer in East Berlin nor was the tourist area on the East side of the Brandenburg gate.

It's called TEUfelsberg. Highly recommend to book a guided tour, our guide was a ex US military and he worked in the station.

Ive tried, it doesnt appear to link to anything but allegedly QR codes were only invented in 94 so long after this was built and then abandoned.....
