OH MY GOD THANK YOU. My professor flat-out told us that we were going to fail if we didn't understand Lewis Dot Structures, and then explained how to do them horribly. Thank you for spending the time to make this video. You're a grade-saver.

I have a pretty bad teacher, so thanks for helping. I figured that I was going to bomb this test so I looked over my notes, which aren't really good notes.The test is tomorrow, so I figured I would need to spend the night studying. After 3+ hours, I got nowhere, so I took to KZbin and found this, now I'm all set for this test. Thanks for helping and keep up the good work, bro! I'll def be coming back for the next unit.

@sciencepost, for C02, what if you put a triple covalent bond between one carbon and oxygen pair while the other one shares a single covalent bond? How do you know which way to exactly setup the covalent bonds after your initial setup?

In drawing lewis structure of CO , there was 3 bonds between C and O. What I know is that O can be bonded by 2 bonds as a maximium. Could you clarify, please?
