We've created anti matter at Cern by doing this, but it also creates the same amount of normal atoms and then annihilates in a fraction of a second. We simply don't have the kind of control over it that your implying. It's likely that they smash some atoms of heavier elements together and hydrogen and anti-hydrogen is created, which then instantly disappears. In the video Brian says: " Hydrogen is the best understood system in physics." which is B.S. because he is basicaly just stating the obvious and eluding to some kind of complicated reasoning behind it when there simply is none. Nope. The video talks about antihydrogen. It is expected to have identical properties as hydrogen *BUT*, as said in the video, we might discover differences between the two. eg They could turn out to have negative mass but it’s too hard to tell and most think that to be impossible.
