I proposed the skit John Oliver arranged with 97 (should be 99) climate scientists vs 3 (or 1) denier many times for many years on SM. I'm glad it was so effective in communicating this consensus to American college students (which was mostly the audience at that time I think). The consensus amongst active scientists publishing papers iaround climate science is effectively 100% today.

If I understood only the papers that take a position are taken into account in these consensus studies. I'm fairly sure that most papers see no need to take a position because there is a consensus.
