I observe that sometimes Charles tends to speak best when he is directly addressing one person, or a small group, and can look them in the face and speak to them more directly. It sometimes seems that when he is standing in front of a dark room that he seems more meandering. Maybe this explains some of the less enthusiastic comments on this vid. Nonetheless, I always love to hear Charles speak and his attitude of truth. Thank you for bringing your truth into my life Charles!

To all of those questions Like what is 'self' etc They're all based on and confined to the very limited constraints of linguistics I think we tend to underemphasize in our thought what's called cognitive linguistics Strongly , I believe, our language has shattered our world view into the so called ten thousand things. I think that's at least part of what Lao Tzu was conveying in taking about banishing the intellectual and such. Someone recently argued to me that Taoism is fascist in nature and meant to pacify a public , but I disagree. Monism and dialectical monism are a good way for anyone who is hyper-intellectualizing a lot to just 'call it a day' and say x = everything, infinity, nothing, one, etc.. Even the subject vs object relationship upon which western thought it based can dissolve in 'ego boundary loss', which as a schizophrenic I've experienced. The trouble that can come with that is when you start to believe your negative thoughts about others or violent thoughts about others can actually hurt them, or are hurting them. Anyway, that's my take on some of this. Thanks for the video..

Thanks for your share. I have a friend who always reminds me of the highly problematic device of language and how it can purposefully or inadvertently confuse the mind. I don't know if this is true for you, but based on your post, if you tend to have negative or violent thoughts, I'd encourage you to investigate what deep, and maybe unconscious, story of the world you've adopted or inherited. I think what Charles is saying is that we all come from these unperceived notions or stories of reality which are based on negativity, violence, dualism, or "separation" and that because of that we tend to manifest its fruits.
