Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires is an album by the dub musician Scientist. Released in 1981. Album was produced and arranged by Henry "Junjo" Lawes, The Riddim Tracks were recorded at Channel One and played by The Roots Radics Band. All the tracks INCLUDING MY FAVOURITE - YOUR TEETH IN MY NECK were mixed by Scientist at King Tubby's Studio. The liner notes claim that it was recorded at midnight on Friday June 13, 1981, but June 13, 1981 was a Saturday.

Abid Firdose think it could have been a run over ? started on the friday ? seeen
@julesl69109 жыл бұрын
Abid Firdose This is culturally just the usual practical Jamaican sort of thinking. It was Friday June 13th because they woke up on Friday the 12th and that day ended when they went to bed, on the 13th. Very heavy right. They probably were setting up all day the 12th and dubbed long into the night, God I love Scientist so very much.
@chancelormaracle18859 жыл бұрын
+Abid Firdose Maybe he meant midnight between the friday and saturday? as in fridays midnight, saturdays 00:00

Trey Denton you shouldn't draw a line between dub and dubstep. after all dubstep originated from dub. ofcourse there are the extremes like 'scrillex', wich i don't like neither. but there is also verry dubstep like dub like radikal guru for example and there is very dubby dubstep, you know what i mean? it's just the evolution of music, poeple who like dubstep will probably hate on the next generation of music and so on. so try to respect other poeple's opinion and love for music wether you like it or not. nevertheless,bless ya! one love style!

I hate to admit this, I mean I REALLY hate to admit this but this all reminds me of my ex. She was 80% Jamaican through her dad and mom's side with some Chinese, Indian and British thrown in there on the side. Me and her would listen to Dub, Bob Marley or what have you. I ended up breaking up with her because she wasn't a stable person. She was constantly moving from one place to another. She moved to Florida at the last minute and that's when I had enough. I'm already with someone else though. But WOW does this all bring back memories. I may not love my ex but I most certainly LOVE Dub music for sure. Way better to listen to the Scientist and Greensleeves than to jam out to Young Thug, Lil Uzi, Fetty Wap, Chief Keef or any of those dumbass's you hear blowing up the airwaves nowadays. These are truly classics! 👏👏👏
