Scientists reveal first photo of a black hole

An international team of scientists used the Event Horizon Telescope to obtain the first image of a black hole. They say the image of the center of the galaxy M87 shows a bright ring formed as light bends in the intense gravity around a black hole that is 6.5 billion times more massive than the sun. This black hole image was built from radio waves as they are the only from of electromagnetic radiation that can pass through the accretion disc, but a Dyson sphere would emit mainly in the infra-red so it should be possible to image one if we knew where one was and aim telescopes at it, but it might be more difficult than getting this picture of a black hole.
