I absolutely believe that Lisa Marie's son committed suicide in party b/c of Scientology. I also believe that Lisa Marie died of a broken heart. I believe that both Kelly Preston and Kirstie Allie died sooner than they had to. The latter I believe died after a "short illness" b/c it was either diagnosed way too late, or acted on an early diagnosis way too late. Both due to their Scientology beliefs. Cults are sometimes fatal, and Scientology is far from the exception.

That's what I thought this episode was going to be about - Lisa and the countless others who would be here but for a cheap antibiotic or competent medical care instead of a puriff rundown. My heart feels sad for Kelly Preston, but bear in mind that she stayed in Scientology after their policies lead to the death of her child. How you stay in after something like that is just mind boggling.

Wow. I received a diagnosis of autism a few years ago, as an adult. I received a diagnosis of ADHD/inattentive about 20 years ago, also as an adult. I was almost talked into becoming a scientologist when I was a young adult. I can't even imagine how much damage they would've done to me psychologically had I joined. Endless auditing and then telling me that my body is defective. When I heard you talk about how scientologists view autism, Leah and Mike, it brought tears to my eyes. 💔😮💔😢

Early 90’s I read Dianetics then took the personality test, then took two basic classes. They wouldn't allow me to start auditing because their testing showed I was too far down the scale. Months later I was able to get Jon Attack’s book and that was the end of the magic. Now that real information is easy to obtain, they can't attract and keep people line they used to.

My sister and I both went through the program and became staff members at Narconon. She even met her partner there. It was definitely an experience. Luckily covid shut our facility down, and we were let go. Later, I met my partner and found out he went to the Clearwater location. It's not the kind of rehab the I would recommend for anyone. There's lasting side affects for sure.

She sold the estate in Florida, as well as the home her son died in for 1.5 million more than it’s listing price, sold Hidden Hills property which was bought by Kardashians/West while they were still married. She/Presley estate earned a tidy sum from the Oscar nominated movie Elvis as well & most valuable asset is Graceland and those are just the assets that is public knowledge. Wealthy people broke and average person broke are worlds apart.

I was a Flower Child of the 1970's we loved to buy books from many of the bookstores in the village in Manhattan ...one of the books I purchased happened to be titled Dianetics, ( supposedly a very enlightened book)I had also purchased on that particular day 'The Teachings of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda..As Heaven Is my witness I started to read Dianetics but for the life of me I could not get past that first chapter ..I would put the book down and come back to it a few days later even months later and still could not get past that chapter or any of the others for that matter, in that book ,something about that book did not feel right , needless to say it stayed in my closet for years, then I just dumped it in the trash I did not even want to donate it to anyone..To be quite honest I cherish books but in all of my years this is the only book that I threw out without any guilt...the book just felt creepy .. Wow these podcasts are riveting. I've never been a Scientologist but I'm so fascinated by the whole thing. My children and I would have had to spend much of our lives in seclusion being questioned and grilled as to why we have the colds/flu/allergies and such that we often have. I probably would have died more than once if I'd had to believe that Scientology excludes me from seeing doctors or having surgery! It's so scary how they work to exclude people from real world information so they don't/can't discover any anti-Scientology information online and in books! There's probably SOME good in the beginning with Scientology, to be sitting across from someone who listens to your problems and your life and gives you feedback, and to learn to control your thoughts as you would do when manifesting your life. But quickly things take such a dark turn. Wow wow wow. Anyone could easily get drawn into this, if they had no idea what it is or had never come across they two of you. It would be arrogant to believe you're immune. They take advantage of the insecurities we all have.

I remember, back in 2005-2009ish, at work, I used my office computer to get online (as I was saving up for my laptop, and smartphones for internet stuff was still less than great and quite expensive. Anyway, there used to be this database of sorts. You could type in any name of any celebrity you’d heard or suspected was/is in Scientology, and it would show you how many years they’d been in and where on the “ladder” they were. I was shocked and disappointed that two of my favorite soap opera actresses are hardcore in the cult- Michelle Stafford and Sharon Case. 5 or so years ago, Stafford literally left General Hospital to go back to Young & the Restless, because the former was doing a “cult storyline.”

Leah, I worked with a psychologist who hypnotized me as part of our sessions and called it a healing experience. She sent me to connect with Scientology which I did but refused to join. Then this psychologist worked with this cult to terrorize me. I had nightmares and flashbacks of the things she said to me while under hypnosis several years later when I was given a trigger to remember everything. How does this happen that a psychologist was working with Scientologists to harm me when this church supposedly despise psychologists?

I have four children with autism and if I heard anyone say that I'm going for their throat! How can anyone stay in this organisation if their child is ill, what happens to those children! What about a young child with type one diabetes or a child with a hole in their heart? We deal with alot of extra needs in my home and this makes this cult even worse! If my son didn't have insulin he would die! If my other son hadn't had his heart fixed he would have died much younger!

I'm curious: If a "PTS" or an "SP" are a direct risk to your physical health and mental well-being, what did the wives of the ex-members think when they went on CNN to talk with Anderson Cooper? Surely Anderson and the people at CNN would be considered a PTS/SP? Did they think they were risking their lives by just being there? In that case, Was it like a crusade where you're out in battle risking your life for the sake of the "church"? Why not just not show up to talk to CNN, if contact with a PTS is believed to be directly linked to cancer, heart disease and other physical and mental ailments? Shouldn't Tom Cruise or John Travolta get nervous to their core every time they shoot a movie or meet a non-believer? By LRH's reasoning, the only safe way to never get ill is to completely isolate yourself inside the church. I'm convinced that no one deep down believes any of this. It's a veil and an illusion so strong that it masks your conscious and logical reasoning, and presents itself as a conscious truth in the believers minds. At the core of their unconscious minds, the most devout believer in Scientology must still know it's absolute bullshit.

I wish you all of the luck in the world! I’m a pretty naive and trusting person and that has been taking advantage of, all these years honestly surprised that a cult never found me and recruited me. I'm hearing this for the first time on the 21st of May, 2023. It feels a little unreal listening about Lisa Marie Presley. I've always been so against the refusal of getting medical treatments. I've seen kids die unnecessarily because their Jehovahs Witness parents refused treatment that would have surely saved their lives. We didn't have the Scientology cult in Australia back then. I've often wondered about the John Travolta and the deaths of Jett and Kelly. I just can't see how he can reconcile with that. Not just John of course. I'm just using him as an example.

Pricilla dumped Lisa at Scientologys doorstep and told them to fix her and drove off! Lisa never got any therapy for the trauma she experienced when she saw her daddy dead in the floor. I think that's what led to Lisa to the drugs, covering up her feelings, because she had nobody there for her when she desperately needed someone. Pricilla packed Lisa up and took her away from her family she loved and loved her, then shoved her into Scientology with strangers!

I am not a scientologist, I am an atheist. I have decided that enough is enough and I encourage others to consider this idea. Tom Cruise is done, I am so disgusted with all of the fame worship and hearing all these celebrities praise him endlessly. I don't believe Pricilla loved Lisa or Lisa's children! She always resented Lisa and was jealous of the love Elvis had for his daughter and resented that Elvis left early to Lisa and nothing to her. I think she built Graceland up more for herself than Lisa and in the back of her mind she was going to get her hands on Graceland in the end. She's furious that Lisa left Graceland to her children and not even a percentage to her. She's become a multimillionaire from her marriage to Elvis and almost 1 million per year for at least 40 years now! Lisa's death still has big questions for me!
