I want to commend Leah, Mike, Amy, etc for standing up and SPEAKING OUT. It takes guts and balls to do what they are doing! Many, many thanks for their podcast, show, and books. One of the biggest ways you can counteract the insidious existence Scientology has in this country and contribute (hopefully) to its demise is research your favorite tv shows, movies, music, podcasts, etc. Then research the actors/musicians in those shows, movies, podcasts, songs, etc. If they are a practicing Scientologist, don't support them in ANY way. Don't watch their shows or movies, don't buy their music, don't go to their concerts, don't buy their books, etc etc. That is because the money they make GOES to the Cult. Stay away from their projects and don't support their work. Period. Scientology can't exist without these actors/actresses (lecherous con-men, basically) lying to the public about what the cult is and isn't. There are more celebrities, but these are among the most notable and active in the industry: Jenna Elfman, Catherine Bell, Tom Cruise, Nancy Cartwright, Alanna Masterson, Danny Masterson, Chris Masterson, Giovanni Rabisi, John Travolta, Erika Christensen, Elisabeth Moss, Chloe Fineman, Greta Van Susteren...

I am grateful that you gave a glimpse into the Marty Rathburn situation. When I heard that he went back I was kinda crushed... I don't know Marty or have any rational explanation for my emotion except that he seemed like a great guy. As for the illegal surveillance / monitoring of the members, ex-members or anyone around them, one thought: If Scientology tried to blackmail or even post photos, footage, recordings that confirm that they violated the rights of others via illegal surveillance, that in itself would be a confirmation of their crimes. That is one of many reasons for why no one should feel intimated by that particular tactic. There are even courts that will not allow any information/ evidence to be considered IF it was obtained illegally.

@Tatiana Daemon True, as long as the surveillance is of an illegal nature. Most surveillance is not. However, wire-tapping, illegally recorded phone calls (depending on the State Laws), GPS locators, tampering with mail, hidden cameras in/on property not placed by owner, etc...can be used as evidence in Criminal charges and Civil lawsuits. They are careful to toe the line! Mere surveillance is quite legal, sadly. I honestly don't think it should be. What I'm not sure of is whether photos/videos of the interior of a home, but taken from the outside, is illegal. It may depend on that State's Laws, but isn't being IN your own home a "reasonable expectation of privacy" _even if shades/curtains are open?_ That's what I'm not so sure of.

Hi Leah, thank you for all your good work - be it to uncover the truth about Scientology or as a great Actress; I remember many Saturday evenings as a child here in Europe being hilarious and joyful thanks to your performances on King of Queens! I have a question regarding this Culture of mandatorily keeping written data on any Scientologist - I assume ST operates basically the same way in Europe as in the US. But in Europe - at least in the European Union - there is a very strong data protection law in place ; this law gives every Person the right to make a request to any organization, which data of the Person they have stored, and also gives Persons the right to demand deletion of any data an organization has stored about this person. Failure to comply with these requests can lead to heavy fines - organizations are not allowed not o answer such a data knowledge request and it is illegal to not delete stored data when requested to (fines for data protection violation can be a percentage of the yearly income of that organization - for each data protection violation). Do you happen to know how ST in Europe handles this regulation which I think is quite contrary to their way of processing data - or maybe you guys have contact to Ex-Scientology members living in the EU who could elaborate on that?

Sci is done and it is up to us to tell their kids that they are not alone. If you empower another being with your perceptions then they are powerful to you. I live between the Hubbard Library on Hollywood Boulevard and the Dianetics Bookstore 3 blocks east. There are 13 more Sci buildings on the Boulevard, don't get me started. Sometimes I pass the pretty young persons passing out expensive brochures in front of the bookstore and I'll improvise, in rock-opera style "I'm clear! Oh, so clear! Clear as a crystal heart, you see right through me..." because I can sing. The response from the PYPs (pretty young person) is mixed, for some reason the females usually smile! The females wear tailored dark blue trousers and Scientology girls got the greatest bums in the world, I am not making this up. Chicks dig r'n'r.
