I grew up in Clearwater in the 50s, 60s, & 70s. My great grandparents, grandparents, parents, & my oldest sister are buried there. We spent many enjoyable days downtown at the Ritz theatre, Capitol theatre, McCrory’s etc. I worked at the downtown bake shop at 17 in the late 60s. My parents took us to all the downtown parades. Christmas parade & the Fun & Sun parade we’re are favorites. Now, I don’t recognize our hometown. You can’t have parades anymore. The movie houses are gone. The Ft Harrison hotel is no longer a place for weddings or proms. I moved to Tampa & avoid Clearwater since my mother died. This is not our town anymore. It has the feel of Jones Town & it sickens me.

I always enjoy listening to Mark Bunker. He always come across as optimistic and hopeful for Clearwater and the people who live there and most importantly wanting the best for Clearwater and the residents. I hope he's enjoying a happy life he deserves. Any organization, whether a church or charity, who has tax exempt status should have to provide actual proof (by the city, town) they operate in) that they are providing the area with prosperity and thriving businesses that are NOT in any way (tax shelters, dummy corps., etc.) associated with them or anyone working for them. Clearly scientology is packing their investment portfolios and killing Clearwater wellbeing and small businesses and therefore not providing any resident not affiliated with scientology any kind of benefit of a thriving community and providing revenue to pay for keeping up Clearwater, and all the expenses a city needs to pay for like police, fire, street upkeep, and schools.

It is creepy seeing DM hovering over Marks shoulder there 😅
@JasonJrake2 жыл бұрын
Little known fact: DM hasn’t always been short. Shortly after joining Sea Org he used his OT-9 superpowers to occasionally shrink down to the size of a thimble, allowing him to sneak around and learn gossip and secrets which he leveraged to take over from LRH. After securing his power, he kept himself just short enough that people underestimate him. He then destroyed the OT-9 level so that no one else will discover the shrinking ability and use it against him. If you wonder how I could possibly know this, I learned it from a parasitic thetan during an auditing session 😅.

They are pathetic and want others to do their job while the claim the rewards without giving the real heroes any of their rightful acknowledgement. The IRS showed what a bunch of gutless cowards they are by letting a cult bully, extort and threaten them. There is more than enough evidence if t hey and the FBI, NSA, etc. would just investigate and question the hundreds, if not thousands of ex scientologists who know where the "bodies are buried" and could shut them down. Before they could easily protect the employees fully and protect t heir computer systems, etc. . But, scientology has billions of dollars and people in government are easily bribed. Fascinating and informative interview as usual Andrew. Scientology seems to have two practicing objectives and that is, saving the world and being on the defense about their actions which is why they don't want people looking in to their affairs. They're aware that how they are going about saving the world is wrong which seems to me a terrific contradiction of morals. I keep trying to wrap my head around the fact that DM believes that what he's doing is right. This whole thing makes my brain hurt.

I live in the next town over from Clearwater, Belleair Bluffs. There's no reason to go to Clearwater. It's either Scientology buildings or no tell motels. About 10 years ago, I was painting the exterior of the house, that's what I do for a living, and it was right next to this Scientology owned motel building. There was something strange going on with a guy trying to help somebody out of one of the windows. I mean, we were literally 20 feet from the building and you could quite clearly see that there were stacked beds, three or four high, in the room. Anyway, before the guy on the outside could get the person on the inside, through the window ,a couple of guys came up w walkie talkies and started to chase him until he jumped on his moped, and I'm guessing, made it to saftey. I always wondered what happened to the person inside of that window. Sad and quite scary. There's literally no reason to go to Clearwater. There are no restaurants or entertainment… Certainly exact opposite of Saint Pete.

What's the benefit of putting all your eggs in the Downtown basket? Put attention & support in the more popular areas & just use down town for city hall and let Scientology lose value on their properties. Wouldn't that be better for the city budget and the city residents? Like... adapting to residents who live there, rather than fighting the uphill battle against both Miscavige and the people's wishes??

And THAT is the real question - A question from which we call can learn! The USA is a similar cult. Most Americans and soldiers are good people wanting to improve the world like Mike Rinder. However, the organization is used by their boss hogs to destroy the world. The Americans, by and large, aren't ready to honestly assess their cult masters and it's scheming. The jail door is open. The Americans can leave their brutal masters. However, the Americans remain in their abusive situation because, by and large, Americans are - like Scientologists - too needy and dependent. They aren’t ready for self-reliance. Nietzsche worried: 20th Century industrialization brought democracy, an age of slave morality Among Western civilization the masses clamber for anyone to lead them, who promise’s security, employment, and a cause. Nietzsche’s Zarathustra warns not to let it happen. That’s why at the end Zarathustra urges his disciples to go away; and to follow their own inner light. They must follow their own inner light and go their own way. In the process of remaining ‘civilized’ and obedient, people remain child-like and lack independence, novelty or authenticity. The people question nothing, they obey and become Energy Chattel for their masters.

I would submit that all religions, and charities, rely heavily upon free labor and collecting money for a justifiable cause. What makes one different from another? Did not the Pope's organization have a specific policy to make the world safe for pedophiles? Does not the Catholic Church get caught behind child labor, child sales, genocide, blocking the use of condoms in African countries plagued by HIV? Many religions, even US Government organizations rely upon the tenants of Calvinism, (ideologies for which the Europeans founded the nation and that continue to influence government offices like the FDA). The ‘use of child labor’ is common among religious and charitable organizations. Collectively, religion is often a perilous organization that feeds off the people - People who voluntarily remain in a child-like dependency. For decades the Catholic Church continues - to this day - to forbid the use of condoms in HIV plagued Uganda - Saying condoms do not stop the spread of STDs and will make God (and the Pope) angry. Here is a scientific, peer review analysis of how the Catholic Church is playing a key role in promoting genocide and suffering in Uganda - Particularly by promoting the spread of HIV: www.rbmojournal.com/article/S1472-6483(11)00114-3/pdf The Catholic Church solution, according to the Catholic Bishop in Jinja, Uganda, is to “torture and imprison all gay people”; and, by doing so god will shower the people with blessings. It should be noted that HIV infection in Uganda is about 50/50 among men and women. The result was the passage of an Anti-homosexual bill, (Known as the Kill the Gays bill), into law. Obviously this is not only savage, but it is curious coming from the Catholic Church who has been fined billions of dollars for protecting 100s if not 1000s of homosexual priest pedophiles from prosecution. And protecting these predators in such a way as to maximize the damage to society, (moving them from town to town). wisecatholic.blogspot.com/2014/04/donald-molosi-rehearsal-star-of-david_6771.html In 1994, the Catholic Church promoted another African genocide - This time the deaths of 800,000 to a million people in Rwanda. Once again, the Catholic Church tried hard to hide it. www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/07/rwanda-genocide-20-years-priests-catholic-church “It's not an isolated case. After the genocide, a network of clergy and church organisations brought priests and nuns with blood on their hands in Rwanda to Europe and sheltered them. They included Father Athanase Seromba who ordered the bulldozing of his church with 2,000 Tutsis inside and had the survivors shot. Catholic monks helped him get to Italy, change his name and become a parish priest in Florence.” www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/apr/08/catholic-church-apologise-failure-rwanda-genocide-vatican A peer reviewed empirical analysis of the Catholic Church and genocide in Rwanda can be found here: paris-malaquais.archi.fr/portes-ouvertes/wp-content/uploads/sites/21/2021/02/04-R6-Bianca-Hacker_Rwanda-A4-FORMAT-Fin.pdf Promoting genocide is nothing new to the Catholic Church, (e.g., torture and genocide during the Catholic Crusades; and later in the New World). In 1941, the Catholic Church was integral to the extermination of at least 800,000 in Serbia. “We shall slaughter one third of the Serbs, deport another third, and force the last third into Roman Catholicism and thus make them Croats. We shall destroy every trace of theirs, and all that will be left will be a bad memory of them. For Serbs, Jews, and Gypsies we have three million bullets!” “According to the Synodal Commission of the Serbian Orthodox Church, 800,000 Orthodox Serbs were killed, 300,000 were expelled, and 240,000 forcibly converted to Catholicism. In our view, the actual death toll is higher than the official count. The Croats put to death 700,000 people in Jasenovac alone. Most of them were Orthodox Serbs, and the rest Jews and Gypsies.” orthochristian.com/114594.html I am not an atheist; I personally believe in an inexplicable higher power. However, I feel Abrahamic religions bring ignorance, arrest the development of character, and cause divisiveness among other hazards. When you let-go of depending upon the Church for salvation, to who will you turn? In comes Scientology to fill the bill. Abrahamic religions at their core appeal to our child-like nature both as individuals and as a species. It seems like a nice idea on the surface - giving us a sense of external safety and assurance. And by ‘telling us what to do’, we feel safe - No need to be self-reliant or feel directly responsible for our own actions & outcomes. The childlike dependence on a parent is seen in the childlike dependence of the faithful on God; or upon Scientologist to another fiction writer: L Ron Hubbard. To provide. To assure. Most importantly, to protect. This is especially true for the Abrahamic God who in many respects is modelled akin to the patriarch, the Father. The one we can run to when distressed. As individuals, we would naturally seek out our strong, commanding fathers for safety from danger. As a species, when the nights were dark and full of terrors, the gods we invented satiated that need to imagine that whoever was in charge of things would be on our side. To be our powerful, loving father that we can run to, that we can ask for safety and to vanquish our fears. "... Religion comes from the period of human prehistory where nobody... had the smallest idea what was going on. It comes from the bawling and fearful infancy of our species, and is a babyish attempt to meet our inescapable demand for knowledge (as well as for comfort, reassurance and other infantile needs)" - Christopher Hitchens When there was little or no science to explain the world, religion provided the explanations; and, made us feel safer in the middle of the night. Knowing that there was a reason behind the good and bad fortune of life gave a feeling of control - Especially among peoples who felt no control over their lives. If early humans did not feel that they had control, they might have given up when faced with adversity. According to anthropological research: the less control over their lives a people feel, the more superstitious they become! In short, religion, the Church and Jesus - or in this case L Ron Hubbard - become a ‘security blanket’. The harm from this is the subversion of critical thinking. People become used to accepting superstition instead of science, Government and Fauci over science, and magic instead of reason. This type of thinking makes people vulnerable to all types of charlatans. Knowledge, critical thinking and wisdom are incompatible with dogmatic religious ideologies. This way, religion keeps people blinded by all sorts of beliefs that are not based on any factual or experiential evidence, which does wonders to stunt their intelligence. To live spontaneously one has to take responsibility for oneself, and this can be quite burdensome. But unless we stop having an authority tell us what to do or what not to, we will never be free to live the way we deep down want to live. And unless we are free, we will never be happy and find peace with ourselves and the world. Such child-like irresponsible behavior arrests development and personal growth. In the end, we allow predators - including government - to parasitically feed off of us like energy chattel. “Only sheep need a shepherd.” ~Voltaire Is there really a fundamental difference between the Catholic Church and Scientology (Xenu)? Those disenchanted with their Church simply turn to another cult - Like Scientology!
