@xavimontero26152 күн бұрын
In the beginning of the movie, it was implied that megamind was meant to be the hero to begin with. But Metroman forced himself into the role. He was never meant to be a hero in the first place and it was also implied again that Megamind wanted to be good but understood that the best thing he could do was give people hope as the villain that could never win. Truth is, given his technology, he could have come up with a way to really kill Metroman if he actually wanted to. He created a way to give someone Metroman’s powers. He could have given them to himself anytime. That plus his intellect, he would have been 10 times more OP. Think Lex Luther with Superman’s powers.
@shapi5412 күн бұрын
@@xavimontero2615 i always thought it was headcanon that metroman had no weaknesses with virtually limitless physical powers. but i do agree with the fact that megamind likely has superior intellect.
@xavimontero26152 күн бұрын
@@shapi541 I agree. But that reinforces my point. Titan is proof that he can duplicate Metroman's powers. He accidentally gave them to someone that shouldn't have had them but he could have done that anytime and gave those powers to himself. So if this happened, physical powers would be irrelevant,, And since Megamind is a genius (although super clumsy), arguably, he is more powerful if we consider that powers are not exclusive to Metroman.

Morally speaking, Metro Man’s obligation to continue saving lives depends on how one weighs the competing values of duty, personal happiness, and social responsibility. Utilitarianism would likely argue that he should continue saving lives because the harm caused by his abandonment would outweigh his personal happiness. Deontology might suggest that he has a moral duty to protect others, particularly given the special moral responsibility his powers confer. Virtue ethics would look to the kind of person he is and whether abandoning his heroic duties reflects a failure to live up to his virtuous potential. Social contract theory would frame his decision in terms of breaking an implicit agreement to protect society, though it could also allow for renegotiating that contract based on his personal choice. Ultimately, Metro Man’s choice highlights a tension between self-interest and altruism, between personal fulfillment and social duty. There is no definitive answer to whether he is morally obliged to continue saving people-different ethical frameworks lead to different conclusions. However, the question invites deep reflection on the nature of moral responsibility and the cost of individual freedom in the context of immense power.
