Awesome!!! This is the one I was waiting for. This episode showed how versatile Steve was for special missions. I mean shot of a sub, climbing mountains, vaulting over high electric fences… super cool 😎. The music by Oliver Nelson is amazing and adds a lot to the show. Wish they had a soundtrack.

This clip reminds me of when I was at Universal Studios Hollywood back in 1978 and they had the Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman Experience where the audience could get involved in these bionic feats of strength. LOL. Such a cool time at Universal back then. A lot has changed over the decades, but the studios and backlot still bring back good memories whenever I take a trip through it.

I think it is fair to say you could imagine no else put Lee Majors as The Six Million Dollar Man one of a kind. 💪

Now wait just a minute here. I remember Steve being able to jump to the top of a roof of a building no problem. But here he needs to poll vault a fence that's maybe 13 to 15ft high??

Earlier in the series, the bionics weren’t as potent as they became later in the series. If this had been in ‘76 or later, he would have just jumped over the fence.

Didn't they say it was 30 ft +

This was an early episode, and it took some time for the style to evolve where they'd show him jumping up to a rooftop. So they kind of improved his ability over time, to make him more superhero-like.

The stunt double got it correct. Steve only had a right bionic arm. So he would pull himself up the rope with just that arm. Lee did it incorrectly with two arms at the bottom.

I hope the stand-in pole vaulter was paid well for leaping over a barbed-wire fence.

Be careful Steve. That fence has slightly more barbed wire than a cow fence. And we won’t be able to slow down the video in the last shot, so run fast.

You can tell they used reverse footage to make it look easy for him climbing the rope because at 1:45 you can see a rock falling up hill 😂

@@jamessimmons7480 at 1:32 for the rock. The stuntman who did the landing looks like a younger Lee. The climber - one could easily tell it was not Lee
