This was really great. Color coded examples made things very clear. One question that I have is whether you also have a “relevant literature” section after this type of Introduction and if so would you still include background research in the Introduction as well?
@SciGradCoach2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you! This is 100% dependent on the journal I am sending to. Most journals in science (at least that i have seen) do not request a "relevant literature" section. Therefore I do not write them and just include it in my intro!

How do you prepare for writing an introduction/article effectively? There are so many videos on what it should look like and what it should say, but how do you get a good flow in the writing progress when every other sentence need to have a citation. Do you make an excel document at first with information or something? Or do you just look up articles along the way, or maybe even after writing for a while? I am struggling so much finding a good way to actually sit down and get words down on the paper.

Hi! I generally do a quick outline of what I want to talk about and start writing. I look up articles and cite as I write. I hope this helps! If you want a full guide to my process, you can check out my Write Your Research Article course: www.sciencegradschoolcoach.com/Write-Your-Research-Article

Thanks for your effort and time. Is it possible to use this introduction template with all research papers?
@SciGradCoach3 жыл бұрын
I would imagine so. Is there a specific type of research paper that you are thinking about? You may need to switch up sections depending on the logical flow of your paper!

@@SciGradCoach Thanks for your answer...so..this is not a general template. For research type, I mean the research article dut to the introduction for the review article is different structure. My Regards.

@@qusay6948 This is a general introduction template that you can use for a variety of research articles. If you are looking for more information around review type articles, here is a video where I illustrate the differences between the two introductions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5bShXmNmr16fJY I hope this is helpful!
