Lebhafte und wunderschöne Interpretation dieser vier perfekt oder fein komponierten Streichquartette im veränderlichen Tempo mit seidigen Tönen beider Violinen, mildem Ton der Bratsche und tiefem Ton des Violoncellos. Always nice to hear some less welknown composers but theire music per square meter divides them from the more famous..

Not up to Brilliant's usual standards. The playing is good but far from perfect. Those period instruments are a liability. Instead of sounding "authentic" it sounds "amateurish". The repertoire is overtly mannered and tiresome. And the artwork looks like an 8th grader did it.

L'ensemble est un peu long et la monotonie n'est pas loin . Mais je ne serai pas aussi sévère sur les qualités d'interprétation de ce quatuor de bonne tenue. Je serai curieux de les entendre dans un autre répertoire.

@@chtidedePerhaps an early Haydn quartet. I still think those instruments need work. They either need to be played with more attention to pitch or the musicians need to switch to instruments that are easier to control.

@@chtidedeThey play without vibrato. Listen to the third movement of the first quartet marked "Grave". Those long sustained notes sound flat. No life.

Everything said here makes sense. However it shows clearly the difference between less composers and musicians and the more talented ones.
