I have a '14 Tc and here's my feedback on your take: 1. Back seat room. Actually there's a lot. This is no BRZ. I drive my teenage kids to school 12 miles every day and they have no issues. In fact we just did a road trip (8 hrs each day), and they all gave it 👍 for comfort. I'm 6' and did not have to change my seat position to accommodate them. 2. Interior space. Fold down the back seats and it has considerable room in it. I put my RC planes back there, etc... It's not a minivan, but better than almost all sedans. 3. Speed. No, it's not a threat to that z-car that just pulled up next to you at the light, but it's more than zippy enough to enjoy the heck out of a back country road, or put that semi in your rear-view mirror doing 90 in no time. It's what I call a 'sporty car' vs. a 'sports car'. More power than you need, and less than what will really get you in serious trouble. Handling is good. 4. Looks. I get tons of complements on the looks. To each their own, but it looks BA 👌 5. Build quality. All the important chassis bits are solid. Interior quality is just fine for what it is. No it's not a Beamer, but it cost 19Gs brand new! What are you expecting? 6. I figured for sure that you'd list road noise under the 'ugly'. That's really my only complaint. It could use some sound insulation. 7. Sound. That clip you ran is a modded car, mine sounds much better. 8. Gas mileage. I get 25 with mixed city driving and 30 highway. I'm fine with that... it's not a Prius (thank god).

I love my 2011 TC. Well I mean it’s my husbands and I drive it daily, he built it from the ground up. It’s got 102k on it, with a good intake, tune, and upgraded fuel system you can get more power out of her. Also all we’ve had to do outside of regular maintenance is replace the alternator. The backseat actually has a lot of room for smaller kids. They even provide a lever on the top of the seats. Drivers side slides to the wheel and passenger side slides almost to the dash. The one downside is you’ll need some dyna mat for the doors they will rattle like crazy if you upgrade the sound system.

Which gen do you have?
@static_Tricolor_camry2 жыл бұрын
You can build your own Turbo kit as well, most parts are universal. You'll need a Turbo that will work with the engine you have and change out the rods and pistons to forged, bore the cylinders and install bigger fuel injectors, get an Aftermarket performance fuel pump, a Front mount intercooler. You can purchase the piping and find a shop that can do the bending to fit at the right angle so it lines up perfectly. Most blow off valves are universal, stainless steel braided lines and as far as getting a tune done that's the hard part. Find a shop that tunes Toyota's an engine management shouldn't be too hard to find.

i actually want a Scion tC it's a peppy 2.5 4 cylinder engine doesn't feel all that slow for just a daily commuter it feels decently quick enough to have fun and enjoy grocery shopping it's got some good torque and the acceleration when you press on the throttle feels very responsive and instant it really doesn't feel slow and certainly doesn't feel fast either but it's definitely quick it's when you're trying to drive at higher speeds like over 60mph where it tends to feel slow cause it doesn't have that high end power but for just commuting in it and driving it and revving it up to 60mph is much more fun as it feels quick so you can drive it fast when going to ihop that way and it'll feel quick and it's pretty much like a sporty looking 2 door version of a Corolla/Camry the for those who don't want a boring 4 door corolla but instead want something that looks sportier but with the same reliability to commute in and the interior is fairly spacious for being a small 2 door hatchback its got plenty of leg room in the back for people to fit in their comfortably compared to other 2 door cars out there this one has a lot of room nut the headliner is pretty tight for anyone over 6ft but if you got shorter friends they'll fit comfortably in the back seats no problem so you can have just as many people in this car like you would in a 4 door car the hatchback trunk is really cool it makes it easier to fit things in and easier to take things out and the design of hatchback is so much cooler especially in the way it opens it looks so cool and it's more convenient and if you have subwoofers in the car it would sound much louder with the hatchback as you'll get more sound in the cabin then a close enclosure like a sedan and these cars come with pretty good sound system for listening to music i say it's a fun daily commuter car that's fun to drive from a to b it's got a good low end power so you don't have to rev out the rpms like a honda to get the power out and with it having a good amount of torque it feels quick and it give's you that impression that its fast these car's don't have that good of aftermarket support and their interior quality wise is cheap the gas mileage is mediocre for being a 4 cylinder and the ride quality kinda sucks but it's whatever it's a pretty fun commuter car to have if you can deal with its cons

Another cool thing is that these cars ca e with great factory sound sysrems and a panoramic sunroofs. There is plenty to like here. Honestly the main downside to these cars is that the aftermarket isn't too great. But if you want a banging daily that you can throw a little money at then you can't go wrong with a tc.

I currently own a 2003 Suzuki Aerio SX Hatchback it's my Winter beater. I ended up driving it through out spring and now Summer because I can't drive my other Summer cars cause I currently owe money for school loans and credit card payments so, I'm not driving my modified cars this year. However my point of this comment is that my 2003 Suzuki Aerio is giving me mechanical problems within the 2 years of ownership, I don't think it's going to last very long. My budget for another car is not so great and so I finally figured out what the next car is that I want, I can make monthly payments till it's paid off a 2014-2015 Scion TC with the Manual Transmission. I missed driving Manual, the TC is the car I want it's a Toyota and it's reliable. If I end up having to buy a new car this is the car I'm getting, I don't want another car that's Automatic. When I do get a Scion TC I'm gonna modified it to look like a show car.

This person spoke of bad and ugly in the same sentence he said the car was underrated. This reviewer should be making the distinction between torque and power. You dont just sit in a sports for "power: Its an aesthetic. The argument he used for the car being "too small" or for it to be a car at all, it seems, is that is needs to have room for extended family or therefore you can only be a teenager driving it. I have moved very large things in this car. It is roomy but its not the Holiday Inn. There is just not a whole lot bad to say about this car. All cars should be this bare-bones and have such a good driver experiences. The beauty of this car is in the simplicity of the car. You can almost afford to maintain as long as the engine keeps going. That should be the goal after all.
@allenblackmer958310 ай бұрын
Shouldn’t make bias videos about the things viewers are asking about. Right from the get the introduction tells you immediately that this car is not a car you like or wanted to talk about. First real car I ever bought myself via bank loan was in 2010, I was 18 and the car was a 07 ScionTc. The car had 1 previous owner who had leased it for 3 years and ironically the day my mother and aunt took me to look at cars it had just been turned in. Once the sale was complete that made me the second owner. I bought it with 36,000 easy miles. I loved the car, so much so I named my puppy at the time Scion. I drove it everyday from 18 until almost 25 and I’m 32 now. Why did I stop driving it? Engine blow? Tires fall off? The manual transmission fall out of it? No none of those, unfortunately I had a freak car accident one morning about 3 driving minuets from my fathers and unfortunately and heartbreakingly totaled the entire passenger side and bent the frame. Luckily I walked away without a scratch on me but after my father pulled me out of the toolies with his truck and I got home and reality set in and I know realized this was the reality of just paying off my last payment of a 5 year loan I had to buy it. Scion(that boxer puppy) unfortunately had to be put down September of 2022. I still have the car and I am pulling the engine and transmission and salvaging anything else this summer so I can get it removed from where it’s stored. Wether I do anything with it or not who knows but I’m keeping it lol it runs fine still shifts fine and even though most say the AZ-FE engines are no good those who know about them know the reality. Engine is aluminum with a magnesium head along with coming with a forged steel crankshaft. They are DOHC with VVT-I and have a pretty large displacement for a 4 banger being a 2.4L. People should not make a “informative” video when the subject is on something they clearly don’t like. Both my dog and that car were two of the best things I’ve ever owned. Anyone out there looking to buy a tc just make sure it’s had the oil consumption problem solved or at least know about the main 1 issue the first gen engines where know to have.

I own a 2011 tc and here's my feedback on it. 1. if you put it in sports mode and traction control off you can do a 0-60 in under 6 seconds without taking anything out for weight reduction. 2. I love to drift in this car you here the tires squeal. But the only thing I will say that I hate about the TC or any other scion is when people get rid of the wheels because of how they look . The TC has a good shot at beating a civic in a race because of the acceleration on it I raced a civic with vtec same year as my car and won. I got to a higher speed then the civic so it's vtec didn't kick in till I had blown past them. just because someone says its not passible doesn't mean there right. sure you may think the tc is slow or is not a good track car but everything you can do to a civic you can to a scion.

This review seems pretty biased and opinion focused instead of informational focused. You had no talk of how the so called "lame camry engine" was used in multiple lotus sports cars or the fact that Toyota could have used a 1. Whatever from the corolla but choose to in a sense put a big block 4 cylinder in it by using the sportier 2.4 and then 2.5 from the camry. Its pretty close stats wise with a scion frs or brz but the tc is way more practical and nicer to drive.

The first gen had a trd dealer pack with a supercharger and lsd also it doesn't share really any parts with the camry other than the engine it's actually a Toyota Avensis which we didn't get over her but how you gonna say get a Civic the 2az is practically identical to the k24a and it's easy to build power on too I'm like 6k into my car and have 437 to the wheels there's a full stage 3 turbo kit plus cheap forged internals and a 2.6 stroker kit as well if you wanna get go that route plus there's multiple cams too and full stand alone ecus even stage 3 clutches are cheap like aftermarket part are easy to find the only real issue with the 2az is that it has a problem burning oil faster for the first few years it was made Toyota eventually fixed it but you can fix it yourself with new head studs but other than that I have no issue with my tc like handling is amazing even when I was on stock suspension and camber plus cars light so your stock breaks are nice i upgrade to wilwood two pistons and it stops on a dime the aero from factory is nice but get a kaminari adjustable wing and a is250 sport front bumper thing just stays glued to the ground you talk about fast on the strip too throw some nt555's on there 275/50r17 and run 12.3 in the quarter at 152 which is the my gearing topped out at 7.5k redline I have to upgrade transmission here soon because Ik I can get more speed with the power I'm just maxing it out too early alot of that has to do with the gearing being shorter in the tc and the final driving being insane aggressive like it's a 4.44 which is just stupid so I'm either gonna rebuild my trans and just do custom gearing or I'm gonna try to swap the 6mt from the second gens 2ar but idk if I'm doing that I'm fully build the thing cause Im sure I can get 180 easy with the 6mt

Bro you sound like a Honda lover you must love your lawn mower engine🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm pretty sure there's a turbo and there's a bunch of stuff you could do the engine and the car just to gain some more horsepower without turbo in and it still keep your reliability either way that's a Toyota engine and it's going to outlast anything from Honda Mazda Nissan even Subarus heads warped from too high of heat that's a f****** Toyota engine bro
