The splitter has completely transformed the front end and yes, the side skirts are needed and definitely a rear defuser. A front splitter is designed for downforce on the front end, as the air flow passes above it which pushes it down. It helps with grip.

If you want reat Diffuser look at Rieger tuning they have a Rear Diffusor for every exhaust for the car. I have one on mine and it fits perfectly, the Qualität is very good and looks nice.
