you would've got louder and deeper bass if you placed it nearer to the tailgate and facing it, because it would've created a horn loading / cabin gain effect. if you do decide to upgrade to something more substantial you'll need to replace those thin power and earth/ground cables with decent thick ones like 4awg.

I think it deserves something more high quality than Edge's Halfords range. They put subs with not the best parameters in what are then enclosures that are technically too small and tuned too high, so they get loud at 50-60Hz but not the real deep frequencies like 35-45Hz. Maybe at least step up to Vibe? And the power and ground/earth cables will need replacing with some decent thick ones.

@@RWL2012 in my experience I had 2 edge 12 inch subs both 900 watts and it was that powerful I had to get rid of them both the bass was so deep that if I put the bass any higher on the amps it would shape bolts off my corsa it was genuinely the best sound system I’ve ever heard in 24 years of living and when you drove past people on the outside of the car wow it sounded even deeper bass than a night club but I got new stereo system with it too but vibe are also amazing I have vibe door speakers and they have broke in recently and they are amazing I only have them and not the subs because the edge subwoofers was too loud and bassy but that’s my experience with them vibe is an amazing make for speakers/subs

It's neat and well done, but I wouldn't have the sub there. You should have it built into the middle of the false floor. Also bass isn't directional so you shouldn't feel much if any difference with it facing up and built into the floor, rather than facing towards your front seats.

TBH from a safety stand point, i think the sub would be best at the rear of the vehicle. I think it is basically asking to be robbed as it gives the wood b creeps front row seating view of the goods. Remember the beast is a show within itself with that exhaust. I just feel that it should not be to inviting - if you get what i mean..Then again you can always create two fake rottweilers out of plywood to give the illusion it is real guard dogs😂
